Most powerful, reliable fighter engine ever built. Will be interesting to see how the engine core upgrade improves the climb rate and acceleration, which is already blistering. I've not yet seen a video that really conveys how fast these are, or how quickly they climb. They're flying with the engine de-rated to 40,000lb thrust max as well, even though it's a 43,000lb thrust capable engine under normal conditions. 40klbs just increases time between overhaul. The new engine will be at least 47,300lb max thrust, which is just insane.
Was working in the bush ona hill out from Warwick when a hornet obviously practising low terrain flying came through at tree tops 50 m or so away.....frigging awesome/mindblowing
Classic. Give us 100 million dollars worth of kit and the first thing we do is take it out on the piss. 😂 Three of these guys blocked my (commercial passenger) runway as I was flying interstate the other week. Got a little private show of them landing and taking off in sequence. Much less loud on CZcams.
Had the privilege once again of being there with my close business associate lindsay fox. Our staff at the vip lounge were amazing and a shoutout to the staff from the trade show.
I’m okay with “my tax money at work “ But only one person is having fun and now 10+ people have to fix it. Seems like a fair deal to sleep soundly at night.👍
Saw this today. It's even more incredible in person
yeah!
Love the sound of the afterburner kicking in before it goes vertical at 1:27
F35 has a unique sound..raspy and loud as hell lol...love it
Like tearing a cotton sheet.

The F-35 has good high Alpha performance like the F-18
sick
These things have been tearing the sky up over Ipswich in Qld lately. They sounded like nothing I've ever heard out of Amberley before.
I think the pilot spotted you all. :)

If you wear good quality earbuds (like I am now), then crank up the volume...it's just like being there!
@@lukemaney645 which quality buds you've got
Ghey.
That was my Grandmother

Fuck yeah
Curious that it hadn't crashed, or sure after that flight, maintenance will last for 1 year 😆
Those F35s sure would make an S400 happy
You could hit it with a MANPADS.
