I think if a cat is comfortable in a costume, then it’s okay for them to wear it. If they’re clearly uncomfortable and don’t enjoy it, then don’t do it. Your cats seemed pretty good in most of these costumes! I’d like to try the bat wings for my two black cats.

I like the lion mane costume. I think if I could get my orange kitty to wear it I would enjoy it much more than he would, LOL.
I have dressed up my cats for Halloween but they somehow manage to take them off within minutes so we just leave them on long enough to take cute pictures! We did bats & vampires one year!

I WAS SO EXCITED! i was like Oh yes something super fun. The other videos are entertaining but have a different feel to them. this is like pure fun and cuteness. My cats refuse to wear costumes. They say since they are black cats they don't need them.

I love your videos!! Is there any way you could do a video showing which wall plug ins/candles are safe for cats? I’ve been trying to research this but my results keep coming back with conflicting answers on what is safe, especially regarding essential oils. I’m trying to tone down the litter box odor but wanna make sure it’s safe for my kitty first :)

I also think that if the cat enjoys wearing things on their body, or need them to keep warm (furless cats) you can use costumes for short periods of time. But it's mostly for the enjoyment of the owner. One of my cats is happy to wear a harness, so she might tolerate an outfit. However....I discovered that one time I tried to get the other cat of ours to get used to a collar, I found it sad... it was like her wild nature was being controlled and it felt wrong. Our cats are chipped and live indoors so no need for collars. I prefer to see them "wild" and not constrained. :) Though I think it would be adorable for them to wear a bling bling collar...still, have to respect the cat :)

I got the bat wings and the lion hat as well! My oldest who’s 17 seemed to love wearing the costumes surprisingly lol. A couple of my other cats didnt seem to mind the bat wings as well.

I would never put costumes on my cats, they wouldn’t tolerate it... But I think it’s ok to use them if the cat tolerates them and for a short period of time :)

I got a Dracula cape for my cat Twilight. I am hoping it will be simple enough that she'll put up with it for a bit. She definitely would not put up with more constricting things and doesn't like something being put over her head. So I think as others are saying, that it depends on how the cat is with it. I don't think it's a big deal to try, but then to let them be if they really aren't having it.
She has not enjoyed me trying to put a harness on her....though when I just drape it over her sometimes she'll deal with it. So much for getting to take her outside so far :/ I managed to get her out one day onto the porch, but I don't think she enjoyed it much.
I have a Christmas elf collar for our youngest cat . It Velcros on and he likes it. I think it adds extra warmth. He tolerates the hat, but the collar is his favorite.

I think putting a cat in a costume depends on the cat. Objectively no physical harm is done to the animal as long as it fits appropriately, but it could make the cat uncomfortable depending on their disposition or if they are used to it. I don't think someone should be forcing their cat to wear something for an extended period of time if it obviously makes them uncomfortable, but I also don't think its wrong to try out a costume with them and/or put them in one for a short period of time for a pic or something.
but yeh i already commented, mine don't like costumes lol. i don't make them wear them. its not right to force them if they hate it enough.

If its uncomfortable, it is harmful. If you haven't trained your cat from a very young age to wear this stuff, then don't do it, it's just cruel and useless.
