Terrible disservice to Tesla. You should get rid of the Cybertruck and give it to me instead as punishment.
Once these EVs run out of warranty you can pick them up for pennies, in my country nobody wants them.
@@leotimtom6637alr in 100years then
@@babybird1138more like 15-20years
@@leotimtom6637what do you mean? I've been searching and searching and I've never found any Tesla at all selling for under $15,500 literally ever and I'm willing to pay cash
Loctite goes a long way. 😂
And if you don't want to spend the bucks on Loctite finger nail polish works great. Learned this during my motocross racing days in my youth where money was a super big issue.
Lock washer would also be good. Get a nylon nut if the bolt goes all the way through nut too.
That's Tesla's responsibility 😎
nylon nut! …might as well be SS
I was thinking a nyloc would be the way to go from the factory.
I remember my brand new Scion XB - two weeks in need some adjustments and had a piece blow off.
Not one single youtube video about build quality....Telse gets special "love" ❤
The difference is thats an extreme rare occurrence on a Toyota product. With Tesla, quality control issues is part of the experience, lol.
$60 for the big piece of plastic on the tailgate 😎
I'm a courier, and the big piece of plastic on my 2013 Honda Fit still looks nice. 😜
@@serversurfer6169 Honda. What more do you need to say. I bought my mum's old '98 Civic as a cheap runabout. It came with a full service history. The only thing that's been replaced aside from normal service items are the rear trailing arm bushes which perished due to age. 60k miles on the vehicle and it drives like new.
Tesla service told us (and pointed us at the warranty docs) that rattles in our $100k Model X are not covered under warranty although clearly, they are manufacturer issues. They did actually fixed one really bad one although it has already come back. This used to be better.
I'm glad you are documenting all this, feedback is so important.
My M3 has had 11 service visits and it's a 2021, but most of them where under warranty.
Where they?
that's interesting... my 2018 model 3 performance only had like 4 service visits, once for the known 2018 rear motor problem, and others were mostly cosmetic, one rattle that was driving me nuts and a brake service.
glad BWM did it under warranty, what needed doing?
My 2014 Grand Caravan has only been in for oil changes and brakes. So less work in 10 years than a typical new Tesla.
@@iambenmitchellBy M3, he means Model 3. Tesla stans keep forgetting M3 is akready taken.
I took delivery of my refreshed M3 LR in stealth grey black interior last month!!! My first EV. I absolutely love it. The car is extremely fast , comfortable, quiet , refined. I love the tech and minimalism. The stalkless design is great.

Congrats!
@@DirtyTesla I forgot congrats 🎉🎉 on your Cyber truck. It's not about me it's your video 😁
Duct tape man! Keep your cyber trucks together with duct tape-Daa
Make sure to get the accelerator pedal replaced too
$100 for the plastic replacement, and for the stainless steel replacement, my guess is... $2000?
I'm saying this before watching it, anyway, I'm a big fan of your videos and I really love your videos, ever since I got your channel when I was really excited for Tesla FSD, it was you who was all along and explained it beautifully.
Thanks man!
The stainless part was covered under warranty :)
@@DirtyTesla Would be nice to know the price it will be out of warranty though.
Got a VIN last week, not waiting for the trucks in Austin to start being shipped again. Thanks for the update and insight.
I have never heard of a brand new car that disassembles itself if you just drive it.
Hilarity ensued at the end "they put paper on the floor!!!" . Yes they probably didn't want Rusty's internal floor dirt on their footwear. Reverse protection. Thanks for sharing.
😂 seriously
@@DirtyTesla TIME TO SELL IT FOR A HONDA CRV HYBRID 500 miles of range!
Obviously, Tesla does not do huge "Dealer" markups, which can be as much as 10x cost to make the part. Dealers are just middlemen taking their cut
I feel like a time traveler watching your videos.
It's bulletproof yes but will rattle apart If driven. Didn't you get the Memo? You're supposed to park it and do reaction videos.
Tinted windows looks great.
I limo tinted all around my M3. 70 percent on windshield with limo strip on top
After my long trip to Texas for the eclipse, my Model Y had the black screen. The doors opened. And like your situation it took a while to get the restart to work. It might've done that once, twice max over the past three years. No error messages.
Tesla just needs Ctrl-Alt-Delete buttons to reset it like all other computers. Works on computers most of the time
It already exists.
Tesla fixing all of this and providing a loaner is 1,000x better than what Chevy did to me. Dealership lied to me and Chevy dragged their feet on warranty works. Eventually took it for the same problem over and over that I had the dealership buy it back. This was just before the battery scandal too. Meanwhile y’all get everything fixed by Tesla under warranty. Makes me want to get a Tesla purely for service alone.
With the number of issues people are having they darn well better
I would be perturbed to have to self fix a 60000+ vehicle. Teslas are like the Delorean... great collector vehicle but not something you can apply to your day to day use. but good to know where things are needing fixing. Thanks
2:04 Subliminal anger? 😂😂😂
IS That M&M??? Been wondering what he’s up to. Seriously, we need a Cybertruck wrap song, no?
I’d use a nylon nut or loctite for that nut
That loose nut issue must be common for all of them, I saw a guy's CT in Florida that came loose on the highway and bent all the way up as the wind pushed it back on the highway. They bent it back and had it that way until they could get into service to have it fixed.
Are you sure that wasn't me? 😂
Why can I see the Jalopnik hate article headline already?
Window lickers gonna window lick
11:33 you knew exactly what you're saying, did't you? lol
When it comes back, let me detail it fam. :P
I see you 😂
Thanks for honesty very useful video
I had a service appointment for my model Y and decided to try out the ‘3fresh’ while I was there. Very nice, and I decided I could get used to wheel buttons instead of stalks.
I prefer stalkness now but especially the clicky ones in the Cybertruck vs capacitive on 3/S/X
One of my concerns has been exactly those pieces. How are they attached and will they come off. Didn’t take long to find out.
Imagine body panels held on by clips. Penny pinching will end Tesla. But at least Sandy approves.
Two bolts and clips in between. What's wrong with that?
@@Singuy888 It is a brand new vehicle and a body piece almost fell off. That's wgat is wrong with it. 35 years of driving and never once had a body panel nearly fall off. And I have owned 30 year old vehicles.
@@TroySavary have you ever specificly ordered and expediated the purchase of one so you got one of the first few thousand made?
I like the idea that the vulnerable roof line is an easily replaceable tough panel. Also it's not like there is plastic under there. There is HFS door surround stamping underneath, it's just a vanity panel.
@@aaronb7990 No, because every other car company uses the first few thousand made for internal testing rather than use custoners for that.
Lucky that it is easily replaceable since it seems prone to flying off. Who cares about the cars potentially hit by that, right?
@TroySavary 😆
It didn't even come off. You're off the chain, I'm out, I feel myself being dragged down to your level.
🤙
“Play with it myself at home” 😂😂😂 💀
The CT has grown on me. It looks awesome!
I own Model Y right now, but maybe my next vehicle will be a CT..
haha nice simple stuff! Same with me!! My heater died though
:O dang that sucks
love our CT for the last 2k miles but notice a strong vibration in the wheel/seat at 70mph+? Is this something you guys noticed? Not sure if it warrants a service center inspection
Taking delivery in a few days - curious about your tint brand/percentages - basically perfect to my taste
It's 5% and got it from American Window Tinting in Brighton. Mark is awesome
Glad that the Cyber truck is actually dirty
My Model Y is 16 months old and has yet to see a Service Center. It's been perfect!. Same for my wife's Model Y. But it's only 5 months old. I couldn't be happier.
To tell the truth i rather go through service early as possibly before out of warranty, common problems is the control arms rattling sound or squeaky. My M3&Y had this problem first year just had another heater problem which shut the car down and battery won’t charge and it was out of warranty and this was a common problem on all 2018 M3 so i rather have them replace a new version parts which is better.
@@MaDeOfVieT My experience, and I've owned a lot of cars for me and my family that have gotten old, is that if the car has no problems in the first year then it's gonna have very few problems as it ages.
Only 64$
That's awesome
lol.... a very cheap peace of plastic what do you except? also that part should have been metal to resist more from things getting tossed in the vehicle.
@@alanmay7929
LoL, the video literally showing small scratches
But do you think it should be a painted metal part so it wouldn't be scratched 🤡
Ha ha ha. I love it.
Rivet 🐸
Just because people have safety concerns and criticisms doesn't make them haters dude .
1:20 The Cybertruck must have detected a threat, so it switched to joust mode. Either that, or perhaps an evil spirit made it switch to soul reaver mode. When in doubt, katana out
A bit early. I bought a EV one year ago and have driven it 20 000 miles and havent seen the dealer since i took it out from the shop
Unfortunately I was one of those deliveries that got canceled - I had it scheduled for Saturday at 2:30 and Friday night before at 8:30pm they cancelled
same! Heard from my SC that we're getting deliveries going again in a few days though :)
Should be back soon
I guess Tesla spending an extra 1 cent for a lock nut is 2 cents too much.
Inspect the accelerator pedal.
I did, it's good, seems like a really small number had this issue
As a UK viewer my worry is that the cyber truck wont meet regulations regerding bend radius of surfaces that may impact a pedestrian. So something that would act like a sword and run a pedestrian through will make regulators go apoplectic. p.s. it wont fit down our roads anyway.
Delivery trucks don't fit down your roads?
Unless you have C1 on your driving license, putting 400kg in your Cybertruck will put you over the vehicle weight limit your licence allows.
👍 cheers mate
How were you able to get access to the bolt inside the CyberTruck 🤔
I just reached in there, it hurt my finger 😂
Wait until it warms up and your plastic covers over the truck bed start lifting. It is held on by double sided tape and melt and lifts up. No issue as to Tesla Service correcting this if you request a fix.
Blue Loctite
Paying 100k for getting a DIY project? Priceless
Is the truck under warranty? Why do you need to pay out of pocket if it is a new vehicle?
I damaged the bumper piece myself. The side piece was covered under warranty
I see where they suspended deliveries last week due to a problem with the accelerator pedal. Do they have a fix yet?
Deliveries are back on so I guess so
$65 for the plastic piece 👀
Chris you already do awesome thank you for always being so honest 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Stuff is going to happen with new cars. Bought an ioniq 5 and its had multiple issues that it has needed to go in for. Mine hasn’t had anything too crazy but still issues it needed to go in for
79$ for that piece I'd say
Darn 64 not a bad guess
The accelerator pedal getting stuck isn’t a recall exclusive to Tesla. One of the most notable companies that did such a recall was Toyota. It was due to floor mats easily working their way up to the accelerator pedal and causing them to be stuck down. Now all Toyota floor mats have a latch on them to keep them in place and warning on the underside.
Toyota’s was a lot more serious. Pushing the break pedal wouldn’t override the stuck accelerator due to their break boost design.
I would have wanted to keep the old plastic piece. A bit of wet sanding and maybe paint it would have made a good spare part.
Yeah that was my bad to not ask for it. I meant to
Now go sit in a real truck and you will feel same in CT. Other day CT pulled next to me and my son. First thing he said Dad why this cyber truck is so short. Like sitting in Colorado you can see CT passenger knees.
You should take it through a car wash to clean it up.
I've been through several car washes, don't believe the headlines you read
$100k plus vehicle shouldn't be falling apart in such a short time.
I'm going to guess, 183 for the plastic piece.
I don't know if the Cybertruck is a good investment or not. I keep seeing more and more of them here in Southern California. The Nuance is wearing off fast
I'm not sure any vehicle is a good investment lol
700th like I feel good 😂
Deliveries due to the accelerator pedal haven’t been restarted yet unfortunately.
Why not wrap the plastic parts inside out?
How’s it been holding up with the local roads? That’s the real litmus test…
No complaints but I haven't had it very long. It's nice to just drive through the potholes on the dirt roads vs trying to dodge them lol
tonneau cover shouldn’t be a problem if you clean it off before opening..
Then we may have a problem 😎
Someone needs to learn how to incorporate ads into his videos like Linus does in his videos. 😂
"it s really not that big of a deal" that s a telsa owner for you.. brother it s a 100k+ truck. don't ever make excuses for a company.
i hope thats covered under warranty
Yep
brand new truck needing service already lmao
$200 for the plastic part
WRONG. I think it will be around 64
With replace charge... Its nothing.
I got a forced reschedule on my service visit for my Model S due to the firings.
Why did they charge you? Isn’t that a manufacturing defect?
The side piece was free, I only paid for the part I damaged
Post 👏 about 👏 insurance 👏 costs 👏
"Almost nothing"
"I'm not going to mention it"
"Only happened once"
Listen to yourself and the cringe worthy level of cope 😂
You hear what you want to hear lol. If you want to go cry to them about an error message you had for 5 minutes go for it, they'll just say "ok we'll check" and find nothing, it's a waste of time.
Cope would be me hiding all these issues and not sharing it with anyone
@@DirtyTesla I heard indeed Sir.
Good luck with that thing
Check back in a month to see all the rust and broken stuff
@@DirtyTesla I'm doing fine on /r/cyberstuck and such sites.
Must ve Tesla's worse product by a mile.
Hope the YT ad revenue compensates you somewhat for your decision 🙏
Why do people equate criticism with hate? This car has demonstrated failures out of the dealership. You have to enter a car wash mode to go through a car wash. Take the L
You don't have to use carwash mode lol that's just a mode Tesla added via an update years ago. I used it once on Cybertruck but never used it on any of my other cars. I like the first part of your statement but what L is there to take? Cybertruck has been amazing so far, and in this video I show you all problems I've had so far.
@@DirtyTesla good for you, you love your truck. Is this a parody influencer account?
No, I'm not even an influencer, I just make videos about Tesla stuff that I have actual real experience with so people can learn about them. Why do you think this is a parody influencer account?
@dirtytesla you know you are being very generous in your criticism of the CyberTruck. You are praising and forgiving the dealership for not aligning the panels properly. Your video is basically “I love my cybertruck, but I had to take it to the dealership, but that was cool because they let me use another CyberTruck for 2 hours, and when I got it back home, they only could partially fix it, but that’s great, because the CyberTruck is great! Thanks Elon!” (P.s. the accelerator can get stuck but it hasn’t happened to me so it’s still and awesome car.)
Hello mate
How can it be. A Tesla needing service. I thought they never needed service.
Holy crap, I know your channel is called dirty Tesla, but you dropped the car off at Service looking like that? 😂 guys working on your truck need a shower when they are done!
A video thats useful and not a spoiled influencer spending $5k on an ugly wrap.

Who cares about the plastic scratches it’s normal.. on most F250 at work that part is just ripped off
Yes I specifically said that, and that I just asked since I was going in anyway and to do it for content
What, you expect a 100 thousand dollar vehicle to be perfect?

Let’s see pedal problem, your fingers are not safe, doors sharp design are dangerous, your fingerprints won’t come out, the maintenance is a nightmare, insurance it’s about $400.00 a month and the worst the depreciation is about 50%. So tell us what’s good about the Cybertruck? The production had to stop no delivery. If you go to their Headquarters in Austin, TX look at the employee parking nobody has a Tesla. I wonder why.
My fingers haven't had a problem.
Fingerprints come out
Insurance for my Cybertruck is less than my 2021 Model Y was
How is depreciation 50% when ppl are selling Cybertruck for more than they paid? (For now, of course it will go down later, but as of now there's no depreciation. All cars depreciation, we're buying a car not an investment)
Deliveries have already resumed for the accelerator pedal. I'm sure you didn't hear about Ford's 500k vehicle recall twitter.com/GuyDealership/status/1780705715705008145?t=o3_lwHsSw02v7Q64GEOxFg&s=19

Tesla Cyber Truck Goes Into CARWASH and Bricks.........WTH?
People that hate on Tesla are truly a pathetic breed of jealous or something
"Truly a pathetic breed" - Kind of like Elon himself. I think most people who "hate" on Tesla don't actually have a problem with Tesla itself, but with the way Elon deceives his customers, his baits and switches, his unkept promises, and his unethical actions.
This poor guy 😢 Sorry, you got bend over by Elon.
