This is EXACTLY the kind of sound I'm wanting in a jazzbox. Universe willing, I will throw down on one of these in the next few months!

Awesome. This solidifies it. I want this guitar. It's in my price range - my next paycheck will leave lots of room for it. Thanks for doing this video - I searched the name of the guitar and found the perfect result. Great playing. Very inspiring.

Después de muchos análisis compré esa Godin. Tiene un sonido muy dulce y es muy versátil, incluso para tocar sin amplificar
    Gran instrumento

Dude, you must be tiny cos the guitar looks huge next to you but now I've got mine, I'm loving the small body. Love love this guitar.

It's a bad assed guitar. The aircraft cable strings take a little getting used to if you're an ultra light shredder type, but well worth the effort in my opinion. Notice the neck weighs more than the body? It's still balanced pretty good. To me though, this guitar sounds like a cross between a Gretsch and a Telecaster instead of an all out hollow body. Maybe it's the p90?
But like I posted. I get SOOOOOOOO tired of people demoing this and only playing elevator music. Hell. You should hear Diary of a Madman on this thing!
It sorta sucks that Godin only makes this model in lefty though. But when you've got a dying market and only X amount of lefty players in that market, I guess you have to have limitations.

I put some flat wounds on, which made playing very quiet and easy on the fingers, but the sound was quite metallic, so I changed back to bronze phosphor, 10-48, and now it sound rich and warm, but with squeaky strings. Regards the neck weight, first time I put it on with a strap, it just dived so the head was facing my feet! So I had to get another strap with suede on the inside, so now it sticks right in place. When plugged in, I like how I can get the same sound almost when playing acoustic songs. Some guitars sound so different, don't like them. But what I love most about this, apart from it gorgeous looks, is the way it just sits nicely on my lap, feels just the right size, so comfortable, and I love to took my little finger under the scratch guard. Love it!

you're loving the gtr's small body, or the presenter's?
just kidding-but i'm confused; as i've been looking at vids of this instrument-and haven't thought of it as smaller than most at all. i'd even say it was larger than most, going by how it looks being played by other youtubers. i guess i just wondered if you were bragging about how large a person you were...? Are you a giant?

No need to get personal is there? Its about the guitar, not someones size.

Is that blue amp what your playing through? Deluxe reverb? Sounds rad!

It's a Deluxe Reverb from 2008 that came with a Celestion Blue speaker. It's a great speaker for this amp, we really like it.

Hi Ed - It comes stock with 12-52 D'Addario round wound. That is the demo. We like Ernie Ball 11-48 Power Slinky round wound or 11-50 D'Addario Chrome Flats.

@@upfrontguitarsandmusicllc436 Thanks for reply! Actually I have the Chrome Flats on mine now and the instrument has a beautiful and unique tone. I use the Chrome Flats on a couple of my bass guitars and I love the playability and tone.

Hi Chris. Yes while Godin makes a variety of left-handed guitars everything they make is naturally available right-handed. If you have any questions about this model or any others give us a call or e-mail!

Hi. Bout time a southpaw reviews this. I've had mine for about two years. LOL I bought it at South Paw guitars. One thing I've noticed is that the guitar goes out of tune in uniform. Like if the E string, either one, goes up or down a little in pitch, the other strings seem to go along too. So unless It's THAT damned out of tune or I'm playing with others, I really don't bother tuning much. Also... all y'all youtubers ever do with this guitar is play elevator music. Have any idea how nice Comfortably Numb sounds with this axe? Yeah the second solo is a little tricky, but I'm getting there. Hey Joe and Wind Cries Mary also sounds good on this guitar. So does STP's Plush and Sour Girl. In fact, I kind of wonder if this guitar was a heroin addicted grunge musician from the 90's in a past life. Sure you can limit yourself to top40 doctor's office jams if you want, but this guitar really does have more to offer than just that. Bob Marley and Reel Big Fish songs sound great too.
One thing about the guitar that can be either a plus or a minus is that it's a very unforgiving guitar. You hit a sour note and it let's you know loud and clear. Also, I noticed after jamming on it for a while it WILL make you a better player. I've heard this was supposed to be modeled after the Godin owner's student guitar (a ES-125?) I think the unforgiving nature and the aircraft cable strings would discourage most novice players though. Plus, It doesn't really like the power chord death metal stuff.
I nicknamed mine The Skateboard as it's made from molded Canadian plywood....LOL Concave!
Nice playing though... maybe next time throw a little gain and reverb on it and play something that scares church ladies.
Oh yeah... one lefty to another. How many times have you've been asked if you can play any Hendrix?
