  • XFINITY MOBILE CHANGES: Comcast's Xfinity Mobile updated its plans and pricing in April 2021 to offer a better value for people who want unlimited data on Verizon's network. The single line price for the Unlimited plan is $45 a month, but the per line price drops to $30 a month with four lines. In today's video, I share everything you need to know before you sign up for Xfinity Mobile. For links mentioned in my video, see my review on MichaelSaves.com.

So I have the old plan and if I switch to the new plan there are differences.
Tablets are included with the multi line pricing in the new plan.
Higher resolution is available in the new plans
Lines on by the gigs are included in the multi line pricing with the new plan
So I’m guessing I should switch to the new plan because our current plan charges is 40 dollars a line instead of 30.

The issue I am having with providers is that I am looking for only a single line for myself. A majority of the plans are setup for two or more plans at the discounted rates which attracted me initially. When I request the unlimited talk, text, data with auto pay plan for a single line that is advertised for $35 for seniors, the rate increases over $60! I am one person, I don’t need two lines.

    • @MichaelSaves

I share some of my favorites for single line users on MichaelSavesDeals.com. Visible and US Mobile are good for Verizon’s network. Consider Tello for T-Mobile’s network. I have Visible and pay $25. There’s an intro deal now on my site that drops it to $15 for the first 3 months. Xfinity is a better deal for 2+ lines.

Hi Mike. Have you done a review of independent cell phone insurance companies. I’m considering the switch to Xf mobile with bring your own phone, but they do not offer insurance on phones that you bring with you. Only ones that you purchase from them. Any advice for picking up insurance for phones brought into the Xf network?

    • @MichaelSaves

Hi Mark. I don't purchase cell phone insurance. I use a credit card that offers protection (not identical to what you pay $15/month for) and use a case on my phone. No. My last test of them was a couple years ago. They were my primary provider for 2 years until I moved out of a Comcast area and switched to Visible. I am back in a Comcast area and may test them again soon.

@@sportsMike87 Very good. It’s Verizon and also uses Xfinity hotspots. Now the unlimited plans have premium data. My updates are all here: michaelsaves.com/save-money/xfinity-mobile-review/

Not sure what I need to do yet. I travel 6 days a week so I’m always on my phone, emails etc. I currently have 3 lines on Verizon and average 230.00 a month. I’m fixing to do something. Getting rid of Dish and may go with xfinity with the Rogo fire stick. Spending way to much for tv and phones. I’m the major user with phone since I’m always on the road. Any good ideas. No WiFi at home yet but working on it. Thanks.

You need Xfinity internet to get Xfinity Mobile, so that would take care of the Wi-Fi. I think Xfinity Mobile is OK for high data users, but it does slow you down after 20 GB in a month. How many GB of data do you typically use in a month?

l’m going to say that if xfinity mobile is anything like their internet service, RUN. Where I live, our available internet providers are a choice between bad and worse. Cell phones aren’t like that; everyone has tons of options.

It's still necessary to stream in HD with the unlimited plan, unless you're connected to Wi-Fi (I think I mentioned that.)

I HATE THIS COMPANY! I bought an iphone and I Didn't like the phone and sent it back to Xfinity mobile and they are still charging me for the phone! I've called them 3 times and have talked to 7 people and all have said they've taken care of it but OMG they haven't! I even have proof because they signed for it when I sent the thing back. I am so angry with Xfinity mobile and I don't know what else to do!

If you like talking to a robot for 15 minutes before you get a real customer service rep . Being told you have to pay up front for service each month and, when you cancel your service get billed for service you used. What a joke. I’d run fast to any other cellphone carrier.

Xfinity mobile sucks. I live in a suburb 15 minutes from Seattle and it doesn't work on my block. They gave me 2 free phones that would be free if stayed with them for a year. I was forced to cancel my service because it doesn't work where I live and they did not allow me to return the useless phones. I had to pay $800 out of pocket because their service doesn't work. The free phones weren't free at the end. I had metro PCs and excellent phone service in my area. Stay away from Xfinity mobile. It won't even work in a large metro area 🤦

Seattle is a T-mobile town but there are Xfinity Hotspots all over though. But any verizon plan will have the same issue too.

Bad news travels a lot faster than good news. People don’t generally post to say everything is alright. Keep that in mind when reading reviews.

Comcast gave my sister $22 minimum plan for her phone +$12 a month for the motorola 5G phone a total just over $35 with taxes
    #1 you get 1GB data
#2 They give more data automatically and charge you automatically if you go over.
PagePlus: $30 unlimited everything. If you have your own phone (any verizon or unlocked phone) $30 is all you pay.
Same network. Same coverage, same quality etc but you get unlimited everything.
    FAK Xfinity.
They were yelling at her for cancelling her trial period and wanting to go somewhere else, forced her to pay full price for the phone also.
So i said "i told you so"
Dont let me repeat my self to you. Go pageplus.

I just looked up Page Plus and their Unlimited Plan is now $39.95. That's also no 5G and you only get 4G LTE speeds up to 8 GB. Tello offers the same plan at $39.95 with 4G LTE/5G speeds but up to 25 GB and then it slows down to 2 GB after. Tello is the better option.
