      @@thedarkpower your welcome, If a place had to have perfect pours, thats one. Any bubbles in a pour would have areas of the teeth or gums missing making it impossible to make a perfect fitting crown or denture. They also used a pressurized boiler when making things out of composite. Stuff was like a bendable wax uncured, bubbles in water would deform it otherwise. I have not tried to make any molds of anything yet for my sculptures, but this video will be very helpful. Thank You for the video !

    • @thedarkpower
      @thedarkpower  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks for watching. You don't necessarily need to degas. If you're just making basic moulds and not doing anything special with them (like pressure casting) you can pour the rubber from a high point in a thin stream. This will help burst the bubbles as you pour. Using a long set silicon will also give it time to naturally degas as it sets.

      Sorry to hear that! Depending on the sculpture the monster clay should eventually give, unless the gypsum mould is locking on itself. So what I usually do is get a chisel or screwdriver between the two halves of the mould and slowly work it free - don't concentrate on one section, try and part the mould a little bit on each side. It can sometimes take forever but it should eventually give. If the mould is locked on itself or the two halves are stuck together you may need to cut it though. Good luck!
