- Here's how I started multiple businesses while a medical student and resident physician in plastic surgery. I eventually left clinical medicine entirely and have gone all in on entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is so much fun, I hope that those of you who are on the fence take the dive and at least dabble (without doing anything super risky like quitting your day job). The ways this life path has benefitted me in the last 12 months, from self-growth to expanding skillsets to new life perspectives, is invaluable. Good luck to everyone and thanks for watching.
Hey Kevin, I just discovered you. I love entrepreneurship and am also an attending doctor just starting my business journey. Itâs good to see like minded people on here! Thanks for all the advice on this video đĄâșïž
Mr. Jubal, what is the game changer company that will help pre med students? You talked about it at 2:20? I am in high school and was wondering if I should pursue medicine or not and if this "game changer" will be very helpful for students.
I love this guy. the perfect balance between energy and discipline.
not too much energy = childish
not too much discipline = robotic adult.
Props to you habibi.
So when are you gonna do a ted talkđ€
Even though you wonât be practicing medicine anymore, youâll still benefit the world in a huge way by having that M.D. in front of your name. Seriously.
I'm gonna be an astronaut surgeon dinosaur robot nurse boxer entrepreneur. Is that possible, Kevin?
Sounds very reasonable and highly respectable
LOL! It is very much possible!
Thank you for respecting our time and posting time stamps for each important topic covered. You are awesome.
I had a massive inferiority complex/imposter syndrome concerning medicine for so long, but your channel inspired me to go for it, and now I don't that issue anymore and am doing really well in my classes. You really can learn (almost) anything and this mindset helped me more than anything else.
Super relevant to me. I'm pre-med but my ultimate dream was to start a business, and I've been terrified if the education path would be too rigorous for any other pursuits.
@@johnpulawski35 Yep I own one, lol
Yah, I like your new idea. Been waiting for it!
A video about the variety of worthwhile entrepreneurial pursuits for med students would be nice. Love the series!
Hey, love your new series Dr. Jubbal, really excited to see how it goes. Wishing you and your business partner all the best!!â
What a fantastic idea for a video series! Living to your principle of adding value, I see!
Great insight and content as usual, Dr. Jubbal! Killin it man! The one thing I appreciate about you is that you're genuine and compassionate in the context outside of medicine too. You are willing to share your knowledge for the benefit of others. Keep it up!
Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Such mad respect for you following your dreams! Thanks for sharing!
Couldn't thank you more for sharing valuable insight from real experience.
so glad I found you. after over a decade of thinking about the businesses I could start if I wasn't a doctor, I finally decided to quit. already started the early steps (research, funding/grants, etc) and quitting residency in March 2020. no regrets!
Hyped for the new series!
This is LITERALLY the only channel/account that I follow because I resonate with you so much! Currently a sophomore in undergrad and I put so much effort into school (full tuition scholarship to college and finishing undergrad in 3 years only). Iâm really having a hard time deciding between med school and entrepreneurship. I love learning about the human body but Iâm not sure if I would enjoy being a doctor because it seems so repetitive (based on physicians/surgeons I shadowed). Could you please shed some more light on this subject and some advice that you might have for people like me? A video on this would LITERALLY mean the world!
I have some videos on the MSI channel about whether or not you should become a doctor
One thing I find limiting with Anki is that the cloze deletions and image occlusions canât be integrated into a single card, at least not without clunky text boxes in a limited space.
That out of the way, love this series and would love to follow your journey with these videos!
Dude I really liked your advice, it feels very transparent. So much bs in CZcams. I have an MD and wasted time doing a MSc and a PhD, I want to become an entrepreneur but is not easy to figure out where to start to make the shift. IÂŽm on my journey now learning to code and see what value I can create, appreciated the advise.
great video! love to hear more about your entrepreneurship journey:)
Sometimes it's about the journey. Some people find more wealth in checking off major accomplishments and then want to move on to the next thing.
This is what inspires serial entrepreneurship, angel investing, etc.
It's not so much that you truly wanted to be a plastic surgeon, but the allure of the chase and then once you have this it's time to move on. Lol
Interesting. Never thought of it that way. I did truly love plastic surgery though and still do given the beauty, nuance, and innovation of the field
Awesome video, lot of value here!
I think a video regarding some of the books that have shaped you would get alot of likes or maybe just seems to make since in my mind haha
Thank you soo much Dr. Kevin! I'm a 3rd yr medical student in the Philippines going into clerkship (junior intern) and I have goals on becoming an entrepreneur such as yourself. Much love from here! Godbless!
This is great, thank you
Thank you for posting these doctor to entrepreneur vids. Appreciate your unique perspective.
More to come!
Hey Kevin! I appreciate this video and the videos you've been doing so fa, I''ve been watching all of them. I personally relate to them because I am interested in pursing a career in the medical field and also pursing entrepreneurship, but I feel as though committing myself into medical school will take all of my time and probably won't give me the life style I want. That is why I have been looking into Pre-PA school so far. I watched your video on 'How to Become an Entrepreneur' and in it you mentioned a few books. I am very passionate about becoming an entrepreneur, but I don't know where to start. Could you make a video that goes into a little more detail on how to start? How to train and prepare your mentality for it, how to educate yourself in the world of business, and how to go about networking to find the right people for your business?
Thanks so much for sharing your journey it really is inspiring and motivating to see that if you could do it, so could I :) !
I'm an aspiring PA in Virginia & I dream of running a business as a side hustle. I love the educational side of CZcams & love the idea of helping others grow with you. I saw your video about the colleague who gave you the wrong answer & I thought uva was the only toxic university in the U.S đ thanks for this, it makes my 1st gen sorry ass feel better.
I'm so excited for this new series!!
You are amazing!
Yo Kevin, been a long time since Student Stroke Team but I'm proud of what you accomplished since college. I'm sure a lot of people watch this and jump into space with possibilities that life can offer! Take care, man.
Yooo great to hear from you Matt! Hope all is well!
Stoked for this series! Maybe if itâs too inspiring I wonât go to residency ;)
Donât do anything foolish now đ
Kevin Jubbal, M.D. Donât worry, I need a blossoming small business first đ
You are in my top 10 CZcams I intellectuals lol.
please keep inspiring us
I feel the same. I am in high school and am interested in becoming a surgeon but I am also really interested in entrepreneurship and starting a company!
Omg mee too đ±
Kinghoney114 Ayye!
sry for being late, but it is not impossible to do both
You're changing the game. Can't wait till you're famous af lol
Best advice: stop talking about it and start doing it.
Play the long term and love the process
Wise words
How did you choose prs over neurosurg? Torn between the two :(
Hey Kevin thx for the video wonderful work. I am in medical school and I truly wanna be a doctor but I have that issue of being discipline and study a long periods... so what you advice me to do to have that discipline and keep moving
How to stay focused video on MSI channel should help!
I mark all your words.. trust me
đ
Dr J!
Iâm sad you walked away from medicine :( you are a brilliant man! Do you ever plan on being a clinician or anything in the future? Your business rules. Knowing how type A you are, I could see you being a full time doctor and being a CEO of a company, just saying.
I love you and your channel!
I canât wsit for the next chapter on here!
Probably no clinical medicine but weâll see what happens!
Awesome
The quality thođ
Finally got to be the first one to watch
Wait why is eCommerce or dropshipping a race to the bottom? What if you try to build a long term business with eCommerce.
Donât know if you answered this question but curious. Why didnât you try to get a job to at least pay off debt and also work on the side to be an entrepreneur.. I know a lot of influential md do both.. or was it something u didnât want to do at the same time?
I was building two businesses since Med school. To grow the businesses beyond their state at the time I couldnât just do them on the side
As for debt, I figured Iâd make money from my businesses and pay it off. Which happened
@@kevinjubbalmd nice!!
You must read a lot? What would you say our some books that have shaped you??
I read a decent amount. Hard to say which ones were most influential! Maybe in a future video!
Beautiful watch Kevin, what is it?

First
He gives medical school advices as a surgeon, then quits residency and becomes a new youtuber... WHAT A TRAGEDY MAN...
Uh he has a business and doing great.
well the good thing is he doesn't care about your opinion
You must have 5,000 in passive income coming
conclusion : shia labeouf just do it
Lmaoooooo 11:35
You pay your talent top pay because you charge top $$ from customers. MSI services are too expensive. Lower the price if you can to reach more people.
I will commend you for focusing on medical training/technology however and not trying to act like you can be an expert in the clinical aspect of medicine.
This is constructive criticism once again. My brutal honest opinion. Good luck Kevin!
anyone ever told you that you look like a brown Barak Obama
Wait, so what happened to your gf?
Oh really? So thereâs truth to being called ugly? đ
I feel like you pushing me away from this channel with all of those non-medical related video. I applaud diversity but too much unrelated medical video will make me unsubscribe
