- I spend $25 on a very beat up, but cool eighties surfboard on OfferUp and spent over a month on a giving her a complete restoration.

Some people do repairs on poly boards with epoxy resins since they are compatible (myself included). Is there a reason you use poly resin on poly for repairs? is it cheaper? that being said I prefer poly...both for working with and surfing.
Good question- I prefer to use poly because it is cheaper, and cures much faster than the epoxy I have!

Can I ask how much material it cost? Including sandpaper and other consumable stuff?
I buy all my materials in larger quantities so probably about $70 all in including the $20 board on offer up.

Hiya Rogue Wave Surfboard Repair, Soon I hope! I am working on a "project" right now which is a work in progress and I hope to get out this Sunday. If it's not foggy this Sunday, I will shoot some new video as it will be an "event" for me as I have never surfed in November before. I haven't been shooting video for quite a while now as I found that I was messing around with my camera equipment more that concentrating on improving my surfing skills...it was very distracting. Plus, who wants to see a 59 year old fart floundering around in the white water, over and over again. I said to myself a while back that I wasn't going to shoot any more video until my surfing skills have notched up a little. I've been out quite a bit in the last couple of months and I'm surfing mostly from out back now and according to those with me in the water and a couple of observers on the beach during my last session, I pulled off my very first legit bottom turn!!! In the past, my health was such that I didn't have energy, strength or stamina to paddle outside but lately my health has improved to a point where I can consistently get outside in light to medium conditions. That being said, it may be time to "showcase" my improvements along with shots of my fellow surfers in some new videos. So, after all that, stay tuned as some new content may be arriving relatively soon. Cheers, John
