If there never was another Wrestlemania, this one would be enough. That main event may seriously never be topped between the cameos from current stars and legends, callbacks to prior angles, star power, stakes, and story, not to mention the in-ring match itself. This was THE one. They sent us home happy.

Rock and Cena doesn't outshine Cody either because all of them are tied to the storyline.
Austin would literally only be there for The Rock. He has no connection at all to Cody so everything will be shifted to 3:16 and that he helped Cody break the 1,3:16 day reign. It would become about Austin. He is too big of an icon especially next to The Rock as well and their history which is bigger than Cody and Roman.
It made sense from a storyline standpoint and it made sense to let Cody have his moment not be overshadowed.
Taker made more sense than Austin. Taker intentionally gave Cody a moment at Cody’s first royal rumble because he was dustys son. Taker lost to roman at wrestleamania. Rock calling himself the final boss when the true final boss of wrestlemania will always be the undertaker.

I haven’t even been following recent WWE, but Cody’s reaction to winning the title was arguably the best part, and I say that as someone who immediately came to watch this as soon as I saw The Undertaker and The Rock together on social media. Which insiders ? As it was pretty much an open secret from when Rock bloodied Cody couple weeks ago that Cena (and Austin but surprise surprise Mr Ego maniac didnt appear) would be involved . There was also talk of a ''empty slot'' on the card where was rumoured to have been Austin , Cena and Taker something similar to Mania 30 with Austin , Rock and Hogan . So a lot of ''insiders'' had been saying for a while Taker , Austin and Cena would be there
