National Anthem of Croatia: Lijepa naša domovino

"Lijepa naša domovino" ("Our Beautiful Homeland") is the national anthem of Croatia. It is often referred to as just "Lijepa naša" ("Our Beautiful") in Croatia, which is also a phrase widely used as a metonym for the country. The anthem was written in 1835 by Antun Mihanović, and set to music composed by Josip Runjanin in 1846. It was partially adopted as anthem of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1919, and then readopted as the full national anthem of Croatia in 1972.
FRANÇAIS: Lijepa naša domovino (« Notre belle patrie ») est l'hymne national de la Croatie. Il fut d'abord adopté en 1941 comme hymne national de l'État indépendant de Croatie, mais fut abandonné en 1945 lors de la chute du régime fasciste. Il est ensuite adopté le 29 février 1972 comme hymne de la République socialiste de Croatie du temps de la RFS de Yougoslavie, et resta celui de la République de Croatie après l'indépendance de celle-ci.
Les paroles sont tirées du poème Horvatska domovina, écrit en 1835 par Antun Mihanović, et la musique a été composée en 1846 par Josip Runjanin.

@@habsburgmapping6405 Unfortunately grandfather never taught croatian to me or my father. Pity, he was totally bilingual, my father and i absolutely would have loved it if he spoke in croatian to us. And unluckily i still do not learn it in full swing. You know i'm learning archaeology and we have to do ten credits of non-archaeological subjects and in this semester i chose this course, but it's only 90 minutes per week. Still, i try to do my best, it was my old desire to learn hrvatski. Not just because i'm interested in languages but i also love Croatia and croats, and as i wrote i'm partially croat as well.
Yeah, i like to listen to croatian music, more precisely to folk music.
As for german i speak it ziemlich gut but unfortunately i can't use it so often as english. I want to improve my skills 'cause i have german relatives and one of my great-great-grandfathers was Austrian. If i may give an advice: songs are great as a start but i think it's better if you watch movies in german with subtitles.

Sjajna himna. Uvek je lepo čuti. Komponovao ju je Josif Runjanin, poreklom iz Loznice. Srpsku himnu "Bože pravde" je komponovao Davorin Jenko, koji je takođe komponovao i Naprej zastava slave, staru slovenačku himnu. Treba podsetiti i na svetle momente saradnje i pomaganja naših naroda, da se imaju klinci za nešto lepo uhvatiti.

Naime, izvorna Runjaninova skladba nije
sačuvana (nema je, pa je pitanje je li uopće
on sudjelovao u ikakvom obliku, u stvaranju
"LIJEPE NAŠE"), a prvi ju je
harmonizirao,
gore spomenuti Lichtenegger, pa ispada
