Nigeria as it seems has the worst system of practicing politics in the entire world. There were 18 political parties that contested for the position of the presidency in 2023 and one party delivered in that contest which was expected because there is no way the country was going to have 18 presidents. It is assume that the rest 17 parties remain in opposition because their candidate did not win. What seems to be a major problem and confusion to the masses is the extent to which the opposition is playing their role. If there is going to be opposition to the ruling party it has to be formidable and unified. For every party to come our on their own holding press conferences only condemning the ruling party and calling names without providing their own solution to some of the issues they criticize the government it is unproductive, unfair to the Nigerian citizens who seek betterment for the country. Every opposition party sees the government have their own respective issues with the government rather than a unified concern. Opposition is not effective when messages and concerns are not delivered in one voice. I am yet to see one opposition party acknowledge one single thing the government is doing right with some complement. Opposition parties are not set to constantly be jumping on the ruling party without themselves showing evidence to making efforts to address the problem of the country. The Government did not originate the idea of palliatives, it was and idea that was implemented during the covid 19 whose impact is still being felt around the world. Palliatives are offered to address temporary solutions to problems while long term solutions are being worked on. It is sad that according to Chairman of ADC is addressing the government as "palliative government". How much efforts efforts has the party put in alleviating the problems of the members? The opposition parties in Nigeria needs to understudy properly the role of opposition in a democracy. The commentator does not belong to any political party in Nigeria, comments are based on observation of politics in Nigeria.

I dont know where you are getting the hope to be hopeful. Your children are not in Nigeria so you don't care about others. You said Nigeria is not at war, have you been in a war zone before? Nigerians are being killed every day like chicken across the country and you are saying that there's no war. If you can't provide security for your citizens, you have failed as government and as a country.
