This is exactly what I don't understand about this team. Nkunku bought injured, Lavia bought injured, Ngolo, Chilwel, Wesley Fofana all bought with injuries. I wouldn't have been doing that.

The owners had the same issues with poch that they did tuchel. This is why tuchel won’t be rehired and it’s why we will end up with de zerbi or mckenna (both just as bad in my opinion) all the progress of this season was for nothing and after we sell Gallagher and don’t replace him and get no top quality striker next season will be worse than this one. We will continue to go backward and or stagnate under this ownership and we will win nothing. These owners are the end of Chelsea as a top quality team, it’s over.
I don't think De Zerbi fit for our owners because he was questioning owner after Roma smashed them in Europe. He was angry in press conference and Boehly didn't like this.

Going by what these owners want, I'm safe with Fabregas. Chelsea should sign him. He just promoted a team that finished 13th in one season! Coached by various top managers, a midfielder, has Xabi Alonso vibe to it and the attention to details like a Pep. Get Fabregas because he is the right profile for both the board and the squad
If they think Poch was too outspoken and hard to get along with, good luck working with any of the other top managers in world football. Could you imagine Mourinho, Klopp, Pep, Conte or any other manager who’s actually won anything being okay with being told “shut up and coach?”

Hey Miz, just want to clarify. I understand how you and others feel. We ended the season strong and like you, I thought the board would let him stay-- I was okay with this on a conditional basis, but also okay if they sacked him. Today's stream talked about the owners never taking accountability. Bro, when was the last time we heard Poch take accountability for anything? A real leader takes ownership, a person like Poch makes excuses. And we complained about this all season long. He misprofiled players, his training methods definitely contributed to persistent injuries, he made nonsensical media comments, his talent ID is terrible -- for eg, he didn't give Maatsen time and now the kid is in UCL finals. Agree 100% Poch shouldn't have been hired but we can't change the past, or the dumb decisions by these owners. I have no idea who can or will take this job but I'm perfectly fine Poch is out. I feel like he hoodwinked the board as much as they hoodwinked him. There's no victor here-- we just have to hope that a gem of a manager is selected and we head in the right direction.

@MIZ I just looked at the coaching profile of Mc Kenna, he was assistant coach to Mourinho and Solskjaer at Manchester Utd. His favorite formation is 4-2-3-1, same formation as poch. We can only watch and see how it goes if he is named the coach. It will still be a huge gamble if Chelsea goes for him.
If he is smart enough he is not going to accept Chelsea job before he test himself in PL with Ipswich. If he will take Chelsea job.... God save Chelsea 🙏

I think it's closer to Dortmund hiring Klopp before he had a season in the Bundesliga with Mainz. Hiring an unknown manager from a newly promoted club because he seems to be doing well.
Even Alonso came into a stable club with a squad ready to step up to title challenge from top 4 challenge.
Chelsea now are closer to the Brighton model. Mid table quality with some good players and managed by a mid table manager. This season was the good season where we got top 6. Next season we could be top 10 and next one we could go either way depending on luck.

For me i can either see it being De Zerbi, McKenna or Thomas Frank. I say Thomas Frank, cos we got Brentford's set piece coach and it gets me thinking it be him (or within a shout). Look when we had TT, we signed Cucurella and then had Potter. Maybe getting Estavo Willian, instead of a experienced player was the last straw for Poch.
The only thing I want now is somehow Eghbali gone among the owners and this two sporting directors. Todd Boehly can somehow be influenced but this Eghbali his ego and pride is too big he won't change his type of taking care of CFC.

I have never been Poch out through everything this season. This summer does not look like a good elite manager market. No manager who take pride in their body of work is going to be interested in the Chelsea project with the BlueCo culture. The owners say they want top 4 but are interested in relegation managers.
