HANEBADO! - Synopsis :
Entraîneur du club de badminton du lycée de Kitakomachi, Kentarô Tachibana est inquiet : son équipe compte si peu de membres qu'elle ne peut même pas participer à des compétitions. Il tombe pourtant sur Ayano Hanesaki, une lycéenne qui grimpe aux arbres avec une étonnante agilité. Il tente alors de la convaincre de rejoindre son club, mais Ayano déteste le badminton…

at 1:04 on my first watch I thought they were just reusing animations but it was actually just continuing from the segments from the beginning. I felt stupid and amazed at the same time

This anime was a lot darker than I expected. It blends pretty much flawless animation with great sports moments and mental breakdowns caused by either personal issues or perfomance pressure incredibly well for such a short series. Do not expect an overload of cuteness, but watch it anyway.

I know it may sound like I made it up right now but this anime is pretty much the reason I started playing badminton and that's amazing.
This cane out during the time when my PE class started the badminton unit and started watching it seeing that it's about badminton

I used to play badminton, loving this opening, and the whole concept of a sports anime about it. Great animation and intriguing characters, too. :)

I myself am a professional Badminton player who is sponsored by Yonex (which they are all wearing) and I was so hyped about this. Still there are some impossible moves and false techniques but its an anime so everything is ok :).
I'm honestly curious, do you some example of what was impossible and what is actually possible?
Roger Poitras There are to many things to count, but I saw that some of the people were holding the grip false.
how are you supposed to grip the handle correctly, people told me different things and I'm seriously confused
Juice if this is still relevant: you can put the racket between your legs so that the grip is facing away from you. Then you turn your hand so that your thumb is pointing down and then just grab the racket. With that grip you play most of the forehand. The other grips are a bit harder to explain.

Cet anime a l’air génial, j’ai vu le premier épisode et ça m’a donné la chair de poule, l’animation est ultra fluide, moi qui en fait en club je suis plongé dans la peau de celle qui c’est fait battre dans la compet, y’a toujours des gens qui nous éclatent même si on y va à fond ^^ c’est extrêmement décourageant

Este opening es maravilloso en muchísimos sentidos, pero uno de los que más me llaman la atención es que te resumen TODA la temporada en el mismo, pero sin un solo spoiler... Tienes el principio con los problemas de todas y el final con la solución (o continuación, en su defecto) de los mismos, junto con una animación que me deja ojiplático.
De verdad que me alucina que pueda existir un opening tan bien logrado como este. Mis puñeteros y completos dieces a quién lo hizo.

Weirdly enough, this opening fits the mood of the manga (fun and light-hearted with a tinge of drama) rather than that of the anime (AAAAAAANGST with some levity here and there)… I love it nonetheless. =3

People who read the manga really hated the anime because it was literally the opposite of the manga, but as a anime only watcher this was an amazing seasonal watch.

01:28 the mc smiling at the end alwayes gets me, was Evangelion the first to do it? It's such a classic trope.
The animation in this is so fantastic I don't even mind they used the same clips twice. Only issue is the middle is a bit slow and uninteresting. But Yurikas voice is amazing
nullgator actually although the clips are the same, the second time it’s used, the clips are extended a little bit. For example, the first time shows the blonde girl jumping ready to strike, the second time it shows, she strikes. It’s the same with the other clips. Very neat detail if u ask me.

I never watched or played badminton and I have to say this anime was actually entertaining. The animation was top tier, Ayano carried imo and the story was decent, nothing crazy. The op slaps tho
