They just, were unaware of her, not enough empathy, but well, thats how anime are sometimes.
It was ultimately good for her. She needed to address her trauma, not run from it.

When I watch the later episodes, I think back to this moment and ask myself, "Why didn't they respect Ayano's decision and left her alone?" She obviously didn't want to be dragged back into badminton because of her issues, but no...
People often think if a girl can be pressured into doing/agreeing with something she must like it that way.
I've never experienced that in a sexual sense, but when a girl says "no" people generally seem to read it as "keep trying to convince me I'll change my mind".

Than there wouldn’t be any plot,
I enjoyed the manda and all but, the whole plot point of "you are really good at this single thing so we are going to force you to participate even if you don't want to" it kinda makes me really uncomfortable and brings up bad memories
that was the point. People on the outside wont understand your internal struggle and will be quick to make assumptions based on your results
This is why I blame Elena for everything that happened afterward.

I absolutely loved ayano when she was cold hearted and ruthless with all those death stares it was brilliant. Why did the author have to turn her back to that puppy personality. She was so cool
I don’t know, why did she have to have a traumatic childhood? The authors could’ve gave her a normal one!
Her personality after her "break" isn't even the same as pre-break. That's just media illiteracy. She's more cocky, playful along with being nice and compassionate at the same time. You just wanted Ayano to be cruel.

People often mistake bad writing or badly written scenes as the characters change being a problem when it's really how badly the characters change was written
Her freedom from darkness did not feel earned or done well at all it felt cheap....
Notice how she’s standing in the light, while everyone else is standing in the shadows.
That just proves that everyone wants to see her suffer no matter what happened to her in the past and now they have unleashed a monster that cannot be contained releasing all her anger to not just her mom and that biatch of connie but her "teammates" and her supposed "best friend" as well for dragging her into something she never wanted to play again because of what her mom did to her!!!👿👿👿👿👿

色々な事情があって出来なかったんだろうとは思うんだけどエレナがただの意地悪な人みたいになってるなが………
It's actually not a bad idea to join the club from the others point of view. For the right people, clubs are a great place to exercise, build social connections, have competition and guidance, and of course play a game with people who also love it like you do. Lots of people with different struggles join social groups to help heal from various troubles.
They just failed in this regard because of Hanesaki's past, which very few of them are aware of and even those who do know, are probably unaware of how deep it runs for Hanesaki.
tbh only the right therapist could of helped Hanesaki at this point lol instead of a club of teenagers.
I was gutted seeing this, joining the club just make Ayano like one of those familiar yandere I know.
