  • In the sports card collecting world, team bags are one of the most overlooked necessities. I really enjoy the versatility of them because they can hold several cards or protect top loaders. The prices of top loaders are extremely expensive, typically $4 to $6 for a package of 10 to 25 thick top loaders. By putting a team bag around them, you prevent scratches and other damage.
    They are also a must have for shipping. Team bags prevent cards from flying around and even falling out of the top loader.
    A pack of 100 team bags typically go for $3 to $4, which is still expensive for what it is, but still another must have.
    Feel free to ask me any questions.

    I use team bags for my really valuable stuff. I stick them inside perfect fit sleeves, put them inside a one-touch case, then I stick that inside a team bag.

    So a Card
    goes into a Penny Sleeve to protect the Card
    so you can put the Card in a Top Loader to protect the Card
    and you put the Top Loader in a Team Bag to protect the Top Loader!? Three layers of plastic?

      The team bag is so the top loader doesnt get scratched. It's like why people put PSA graded stuff in bags.

      For me I don't think top loaders are worth protecting, just think for my higher end stuff I'll spend the extra couple cents to eliminate the small chance of dirt etc. still finding its way to the card through the top loader opening.
      I do more gaming than sports cards though so they're exposed to social situations around a table a little bit more, where some dingbat might spill a coke or whatever. Could buy you a couple extra seconds to deal with any funny business.
      But even then I'm not buying tons of team bags, I have like 15-20 crown jewels in that configuration and everything else just in sleeve/top loader or less.

    Can you fit around 30 regular cards in those? The ones you used look thicker than the usual say Magic the Gathering cards. I am interested in the latter sort.

    Makes me kinda wanna take them off but then I will ruin the top loader like you said : /

    Good idea, but will look really nasty in a binder. I'd recommend more fitting resealables if you store your cards in binders.

      Hey, I think it's fine for the card. If anything, you are protecting the hard plastic top loader from scratching.

    my question is after u put it in the team bags what box would u use so the team bags don't get damaged??

  • @VideoGamesHobby305
    @VideoGamesHobby305 Před 10 lety

    A hobby shop near by my home mentioned to me that its too much and you need to let the cards breath (that's referring to the team bags that it's too much protection)
    I'm 50/50 on them I do not think a company would release a product that damages your cards

    • @barrywatson754

      So they are not fans of graded cards then?

    • @MrTripcore
      @MrTripcore Před 2 lety +8

      Why do cards need to breathe.. they're not animals

    • @Suedeash
      @Suedeash Před rokem +2

      If anything they need to not breathe. A card in a vacuum seal would be totally protected from the elements (like moisture for one)

    I purchased some,but I'm getting mixed reviews on them.

  • @duhmainmang

    I dont like these. Obviously this is the standard team bag but they are just too wide for toploaders. They still stick out from the sides and when I go to store a card in a classic long box, those sides that are sticking out makes it really awkward for the card to fit

    • @CadeAndrews
      @CadeAndrews Před 3 lety

      I agree. Is there any team bags that fit good on top loaders?
