    After finding current in closed loop u can also directly find Vth without writing another equation Its will consume less time.
    Vth = voltage drop across 6ohm resistance (IR or 2x6)=12V

      while finding VTh, open circuiied load terminal so no current across 10ohm for that case only. Next to find RTh, connect a test voltage at terminal AB, you have to consider 10ohm this time.

    • @rashmiagnihotritiwari8211
      @rashmiagnihotritiwari8211  Před 6 lety +1

      Only 10ohm resistor is not considered as there is no current flow when we open circuiied AB terminal..

      In this ckt ,we have two unkowns (i and Vth). So we need two equations to solve them.
      You can get second equation through other ways like Currrent i in loop I using ohm's law i.e. i= V/R =(20+2i)/12i.
      Or use KCL at middle top node

      If u use test current (1amp) then apply KCL ie nodal analysis to find V0 across it.
