This makes me teary eyed. Brings up so many beautiful memories of wonderful holiday seasons with my family, especially those who are no longer with us.
Pandekrah yes it does reminds me of how we would all get together for the holidays at my grandmother's house play music and just enjoy one another....But she is no longer with us God called her home 2years ago and every since it hasn't been the same
I might be the only white person here but I’ve never heard this until now and this just has a special vibe to it that I love. I will be playing this from now on close to the holidays.
Why can’t people promote this type of music and singing? This is beyond beautiful and heartfelt in so many ways. The 90s will always be superior and golden in my eyes. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis made some classic hits with Sound Of Blackness back in the 90s!!!
Who all back here for this Soul Holiday journey 2023? The day Our Savior was born! Love,Peace, Goodwill, Perpetual Hope, Joy, family and some good groceries. Oh an a bed.😅
But god said he had a specific nation he love and it was jacob .... obviously he dont love everyone but he have to respect them for being in these universe it in the bible ....stop speaking on something he dont approve
I love this song, everything I hear Sound of Blackness I think back to when I was a kid in the early 90s. I was 8 in 1990 and Christmas felt so different then and most of my family was here living. I can just tear up. 😢
Black folks bring knowledge, wisdom and soul to the world. We are a strong and resilient people that no matter the pain and suffering that we have endured we continue to survive and rejoice in our briliance. God Bless us All.
Although it's truly hard to be sad or depressed while listening to this, you can't help but miss the times associated with it. Life, families, and holidays are nothing as they once were.

I was two when this song came out but I’ve heard it throughout my life. Definitely brings back memories of when I celebrated Christmas with my grandparents and family. I would give anything to experience that time again.
Black people make the best, beautiful music in the world. We really need to get back to R&B, good gospel and soul music. Rap has really ruined our brand!
Almighty GOD I give you praise honor and glory. Today is December 24 2019. As I prepare to celebrate another end of the year Christmas Day the day we honor Jesus. This song Soul Holiday has been a tribute to my Mother Rhoda Elizabeth Price who was born on Chtistmas day. This song speaks volumes of life to my soul. I remember the goodness of my Mothers spirit during Christmas. As I ponder over my life and think of my Mother tears of joy flood my soul. I am witnessing giving of time to family cooking wrapping gifts decorating being kind and helpful. The main thing that keeps this drive is Jesus Christ which is the reason for the sesson. My mother still live within my heart and will always be a part of me she is the reason i am who i am by GOD almighty. May each family enjoy the beauty of Christmas with family. Merry Christmas love and peace from Oklahoma.

I wish music can just go back!!!! Soul is missing from music. Loving on each other is no longer in the music. Compassion & hope has been removed from music😢😢😢 I had to come back for soul!!!
Makes me emotional thinking about Christmas past. My Mother did it all by herself and every Christmas Morning I woke up Happy and Grateful. Not wanting for nothing . Not to mention all throughout the years....May God rest her soul ❤️

Today is December 24th 2018. I looked back to one year ago when I posted about this song being dedicated to my Mother Rhoda Elizabeth Price. My mother was born on CHRISTmas day. I give all praise honor and glory to GOD for allowing my mother to govern my brother's and sister's to walk in GODS light. One of my sisters Martha has passed on and I am remembering my mothers legacy and my sisters legacy. This song still bring tears to my eyes the words echo Love for one and to give praise to who we believe in. JESUS is the reason for tbe Season. Love your family tell them you care. Lean not to your own understanding acknowledge GOD and allow him to direct your path. again i say to whom ever read this. Have a very Merry CHRISTmas and happy 2019 year. Much love from Oklahoma.
Sounds of Blackness (and especially Ann Nesby) reach into your heart and soul like not many other R&B/gospel groups can. No matter what you're doing, Christmas is when everyone comes together and celebrates family, being together under one roof, and thanking God for the many blessings he has given us in the past year. Am I the only one still worried about the homeless lady in the video? The little girl who brings her inside has the BIGGEST heart.
Christmas music always sounds better outside of Christmas season. I honestly think its because the holiday its founded on the birth of Jesus, the greatest gift from God.

I was 12 years old when this came out
The scene with the little girl showing concern and sadness to that lady was sooo moving!
