@@MichaelJacks265 I saw him live twice, in '88 and '93 and it was electrifying, don't get me wrong. Yeah, the HN move is clean but it's my opinion that he did the robot best during his childhood/teen performances of DM.
Btw, I should've made it more clear that I meant his prime robot is more impressive than his debut moonwalk (the Motown 25 special). He quickly improved that, making it grafity-defying. ✌️

There's only one part of this routine that I think could have been done better. It's just one part, but it takes away the "Robot/Machine" element for a brief moment, and that's when MJ finishes all his cool moves and then takes 3 very "Human" steps |(even hops) back to his brothers, then all 3 of them do that awesome sliding robot walk. It's just those 3 steps that take it away for me. Too bad MJ couldn't have stayed in "robot" character for those 3 steps, or did some sort of robot foot slide walk to his brothers, hooked up with them and then all 3 carried on that robot slide walk together. But you can't go back in time to re-shoot it again. - Ok, never mind...I see they fix this up starting in Mexico in 1975 where the brothers walk out to join MJ in the line-up. Looks more synchronized then. Dance looks the best in LA in 1977. I don't know what Cher is doing, but it looks like only 1/2 of what Michael is doing. - I also like the "Clicking" wooden instrument sound in Venezuela - I should know that instrument...i think it's a Maraca or some kind of wooden drum or something. - The Talking Heads used it a lot in the early 1980's in their songs too. I also love the laser sounds in New Orleans in 1979. I'm a sucker for those sounds and oo oo in disco. - I think in 2001, MJ forgot how to "Robot" as his moves are more "Smooth Criminal" and not "Choppy and mechanical" like the Robot is.
But I think it's cool to see MJ doing his robot moves at different tempos and speeds and styles and still looking amazing through all of it! A true dancing master!
