I'm so proud of Theodore for choosing to get the other tugs to make up and work together to stop pollution in the harbour getting worse over getting his V-Word. He came this close to getting it, but decided it wasn't worth going out on the ocean and not having his friends to come home to. Theodore not only deserves a V-Word, but a medal for most valuable and selfless tugboat in the Big Harbour 🥇
Me too! :D I haven't seen this in years, and yet I still remember the theme song, the characters(specifically Theodore, George, and the Tugboat with the Firefighter hat), and a talking oil rig! So glad this show popped up in my head today, and I'm reunited with one of my childhood classics!
Theodore didn't choose the tug life, the tug life chose Theodore.
Of course I am somewhat thankful that it ended when it did, though mainly because it's one of the few shows of my childhood that got spared the horrific fate that befell Thomas, Noddy, and Fireman Sam.
For a really long time I was convinced that this show was a figment of my imagination, and now, finally, I find this lol. Thought I was crazy 😂

I found this by searching tugboat show with submarine and this brought me back to childhood.
Only just found out that Denny Doherty lead singer with The Mamas & The Papas was the harbour master and voice over in this kids show

I always thought that this is episode name should have been Theodore's Pollution Problem. Or The Pollution Buzz.
I don't ever remember watching this show but when I went to the maritime museum in Halifax when I was on my cruise they had this show at the museum and when I got back 5 days ago I had to look it up
I remember I used to love this show as a kid, along with Thomas the Tank Engine.

The Harbor Master said Barrington was a Flat-bottom barge, so is that an actual barge class? And I defiantly think this is an episode that deserves a VHS and DVD release as it teaches an important lesson!!!!! I once heard of a steam engine in America that was rebuilt to burn vegetable oil. Is that a possibility for tugboats too?

For some odd reason the Season 1 episodes are more interesting than Seasons 2 through 5
