Would you say the 8000 has enough capacity for 200 yards of 20lb Dacron paired with 9wt line?

I don't have the 8000, but Aardvark McLeod Fly Fishing has a review where he says he uses the 8000 on a 9wt and with 250yds 0f 80lb PowerPro, which is braid backing. I do have the 10000 and like it a lot.

Hi. Great video. I'm looking for 1 to match with a 10wt. Would you go 8000 or 10 000? I'd be happy with 250m of 40lb braid backing. Will use it for a barra, permit and kingfish. Thanks

10000 for sure, the 8000 doesn't have enough capacity for most 10 wt applications

They look beautiful reels. The issue I have with all the reels made in Korea/China is that the models are only made for 2-4 years before a replacement model is launched. This means almost impossible to get spare parts, and any guarantee is worthless because one has to pat handling charge and is usually offered not a repair or new replacement reel, but offered an upgrade to the latest new model.
Carbon discs wear out, and as the drags are allegedly sealed, longevity is short
