As true as it is that Villa were on the beach and that was reflected in some of the players they had out yesterday.
The turnaround under Glasner must be matched in the summer with shrewd sales and shrewd recruitment we could be on the cusp of finally breaking that glass ceiling and maybe pushing for europe.
That being said we were to a man yesterday exceptional.
I hereby take back everything I said about Mateta.
As I was one of his biggest haters.

Villa Fan here. Think your getting carried away with how you played against us on Sunday. We were missing 10 players who took early leave including the worlds best goalkeeper. If our players were playing you wouldn't have scored 5 against us not a chance. Our season ended when we played Liverpool Monday 13th May & when Man City beat Spurs the following night which confirmed our qualification to Europe's Premier competition. Don't get me wrong you have a good first 12 or 13 players and are well drilled I was at the game and I was impressed with your game however that's not enough to surpass others with bigger quality squads and budgets who are trying to qualify for Europe too. You also have other clubs like us who can entice your number 7 & 10 away and you cant compete with that. As for challenging for top 4 not a chance mate it takes a long time to even get up there and you need quality across the pitch to do that and Palace don't have the budget to do that.
