1. I could watch you jump an XMaxx all day. 2. Your air control is always impressive. 3. Even with that you had some terrible terrible landings which the XMaxx took. The slowmo's reveal how devastating they were.

Nice Thunder great video again. Yes i agrfee %100 that a Arrma 8S rig would of broke right away on those side tire landings for sure arms and hing pins. I just got the new K8 EXB people say nthe plastics are better from the EXB rollers but we see. im not really gonna do much bashing since temps here are in the 30s and 40s now. man i wish i had that TX weather

Do you have any old parts for a x maxx that you would sell so I can just buy parts over time and I can build one. 1000% agree!!!!! Not just cause I own one , but because ive seen too many Arrmas explode from a fraction of abuse the XMAXX takes. Fan boy if you want, but ill bet youll be wrenchin a lot sooner and a lot more frequently than i ever will. Not the biggest traxxas fan, but the XMAXX is undeniable.

I love my xmaxx. But it doesn’t jump as high as the arrma cars. The best part of the xmaxx is how easy it is to fix. And parts are cheap!
How do you not break those hexes on the badlands? I always break the centers on my kraton and I'm not landing on power.
Your problem is weight. Kraton is much heavier.
@@thunderrc that makes sense, im running the 1100kv xlx2 combo and 8000mah batteries... hmm. The esc is actual same weight as the stock spektrum, the motor is def adding weight. I wonder if i go with small batteries. Any other ideas? It's the exb version basically stock with the vitavon steering box update.

I really like the 22/46 ratio you are running, lots of power and pretty good top end speed considering you are running on stock electrics! Keep the videos coming brother!

He dont need Ultimate Traxxas, he builds his own for cheaper. Not much mods needed !!
I tried to jump a 2ft jump and strip my spur and pinion gears first the stock and then the hot racing spur gear 😵💫 do you use the Traxxas motor mount pin guide settings when mounting those gears that you have?
Yes I use the pin guide and stock motor mount. The secret is you need a tighter mesh than the chart says. The chassis has lots of flex so a tighter mesh to compensate is what you need. I always put the motor mount pins one gearing size down from what I am actually runnning. I never have problems with gears anymore 👍

Not my experience with stock xmaxx. Was slow, did not flip, pins popping out, broken hub carriers just tumbling down a hill. Had to upgrade it a lot to get it tough and fast. My arrmas always came out fast and strong out of the gate. Your vids make me want a stock xmaxx again but I hesitate.
Just put bigger Pinions and Highspeed Spur in it !!! 46/22 is Thunder running!! Stock is super slow, yes. Pins did never pop on mine, and hubs are perfect fine (but i got the new traxxas ones in spare lying around if needed)

What’s the secret to the bump ramp? Does it have to give way is that why it springs the truck like that? I see you using old tires under it for bounce I’m guessing? And how many front bumper supports do you go through a week? I can’t keep them together

He drives stock motor (with ultra long gearing for high wheelspeed in the air) ?!! And Stock or Max6 ESC!! He does not use Max5 ESC with crazy big and heavy Motor! All fine.

The Xmaxx was always the best.
After owning pretty much the whole arrma line up I can say although I did have issues with my xmaxx , I’ve had far less issue with it than I did any arrma product , with the exception of the Mojave which I’ve had the absolute least issues with.
