Reminds me of a quote I'd seen over a decade ago; "you either work multiple good jobs just to survive, or choose to live on one obviously evil employment". I thought it was a meme then, but after wasting years working for sudexo (a medical megacorporation), I realized it wasn't a joke but a warning.
The cost of living is frankly absurd with all the siphons on finances, and I don't mean just the income & sales taxes. I'm referring to: the price of gas, the various socalled 'required' insurances, the constant upkeep on products being blatantly planned obsolescence, and so on.

For homelessness problem to be solved, that would require government and powerful people... you know.. caring about that at all.
So it happens they don't, so it won't be fixed.

And to add, they spend a lot more than it would require to help them, on putting up anti-homeless spikes, criminalising it&incarcerating them, etc. But as they can’t profit off giving them vacant homes and jobs…

    3:58 This is smart because…
-it would cut off a lot of emissions
-cut off a lot of road rage from people stressing to get there on time.
-Cut back a lot on gas, saving people more money.
-Won’t have to get oil changes as frequently.
-The amount of housing that would co e from this could potentially bring down prices due to the sheer number of apartments or condos that could be created from these buildings
-this would also be cheaper than building entirely new buildings with heating and water pipes and other thing already running in these current buildings.
-Why aren’t we doing this already?
    -Did I miss anything?

That one mentioning 40 registers and two employees reminded me of a day that pissed me off. Food lion in my town doesn't have a self check out and ten registers. One day i went to get the one thing my allergies wont freak out over so i could at least eat a little that day. The two open lanes were packed full of people with so much stuff it could fit in two carts each. Stood for half an hour and when i finally got there, the employee, clearly stressed, says "im sorry its 20 minutes past my break, i just can't." Turns off the lane light and rushes out the front door. Now theres only one lane and im in the back again for another half hour maybe longer. Meanwhile theres 14 other workers standing in front of all the lanes chatting with the manager. I had so much other shit to do and very little time so i decided that not eating for a day was the lesser risk. Food service doesn't let you go on break unless people stop wanting food or we're closed so that bugged me a little. Also that kitchen nightmares dude you mentioned that kept tips, also made the workers wash his car. For nothing i must add.

38:59 not to mention the fact that is a huge problem when it comes to writing. A lot of people try to blame the writers for that shows, and completely ignore the fact that really good shows are cancelled by the time to get to season 2-0 if they even get that far. Meanwhile, the trash is being consistently rated. If you write something in the producer doesn't like it, you're going to have to write it again until they get something that is approved- and if they want something safe, you're not going to get anything inspired. So the knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers that try to say that if writers wants to get paid more, they should write better- it's the other way around. The same with teachers. But that's another thing that I'm going to get too heated to talk about and I have a headache.

Prob too late to say this, Nate not saying your wrong, but your describing at 7:55 is a Corporatocracy, Corporatism is a system when bodies of government work together like organs, to serve a common interest, when one part doesn't work like it's so suppose to. Then the entire body will be affected by it. Like how the Executive, Legislative, Juridical Branches.
Or how the construction industry needs the miners to get the materials then refines it, next manufacturing plants build the parts, before a delivery industry sends out those parts, for the construction industry to start building, after that it continues on to what ever industry next is incharge.

Despite what that mean Reddit mod did on Fox news that completely ruined, antiwork isn't about not working. I like work. I like having things to do. Antiwork is about being taken advantage of and being played for a fool and how messed up and anti-worker the work industry is. I know everybody knows this, but just in case anybody comes in here not knowing I wanted to say it.

That’s something I still to this day. Why are we not letting out cashiers sit at the cash register while their working? What’s the point of standing all day? It’s not exactly good for people to be doing that all day. Aside from facing aisles or unloading a truck, the grocery store I work at should let the checkers sit. Every single checker complains about it.

36:41 To the strike thingy. Most of the companies pay to police to arrest you for vandalism if you strike, and then no job will hore you cause you were arrested, ,and i heard someone who said striking could be considered a cult, like KKK,if they go to strike in their working uniform, and if they don't go in the company clothes, then they can say,you didn't register in to that day,so they don't pay for that day.

On the topic of the self-checkout lanes, did ya'll hear about Walmart's going to no longer offer self-checkout lanes because of theft?
Edit: on the topic of "Shifts being covered" and this is a damn rant because I went through this shit! I had a manager that bragged about doing multiple things at the same time at my first job, but when things began to open back up because of COVID all of a sudden, all that bragging became nothing but bark, the guy absolutely hated having to work his ass off and instead regulated extra work to his employees which also included me who was hired to fry chicken and really nothing else for that matter, but it got to the point where I had three jobs all at once, frying the chicken for the line cooks to serve, working the line and also doing the trash, oh and sometimes even working 10 to 12 hour shifts at times WITHOUT A BREAK IN BETWEEN which is ILLEGAL to force someone to work that many hours on a shift and not give them a 30 minute break which was another thing they did illegal, most shifts are eight hours long which roughly gives you two 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute break (lunch) they wouldn't even give you the two 15 minute breaks all you had was the 30 minute break, once you start going into 10+ hours you are supposed to get two 30 minute breaks.

18:28 even if you budget out the ass. Depending on the job you have, you will absolutely not make it with one job. In this economy, you need at least two jobs to survive, which compared to the 50's and 60's when you could afford a house and support a family on a singular income.
