Very nice. Something to consider is that when playing chess, the white square should be in the bottom right corner. That's something to consider when you are orienting the grain. People tend to expect seeing the grain go up and down rather than sideways. It was done correctly in the video, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

The whole time watching the video I was thinking _please don’t end the video setting up chess pieces with the wrong orientation!_ ☺️

Beautiful. I'd love to see you make it into a table, maybe with a walnut lathe-turned center balustrade with three legs? There could be a shallow drawer for the game pieces.

Gluing end grain and wrapping it with solid wood. I'm sure that it won't have any issues

Do you usually use the table saw fence to make the cross cuts? Seems ok when the board is 20x20 but when it gets down to 6x20 seems difficult? any thoughts?

These solid wood boards always looks so amazing, but I'm always worried about them cracking or splitting because of wood movement. How do you decide if you are going to get away with wrapping the wood in a frame like that? I stuck a few numbers in a wood movement calculator and a board that size could potentially move by more than a quarter of an inch depending on the climate and whether it is flat sawn wood or not. That would put a huge stress on the frame, no?

Seal every side and no problems. Moisture change causes the movement
