I’ve watched several of your videos on this technique, I am doing white cabinets with a brown glaze and I am looking for a topcoat that will not yellow. Which topcoat do you suggest?

Honest question: why all that sanding in the beginning, if the obvious way is to use paint remover (stripper)? You definitely know this method, so why all this unnecessary labor? You did say something about the thin layer of the finish, but that still doesn't compute.

Where can I find out what sort of paint gun can be used for what types of material? I have a fence that needs a water seal applied but I also have an RV that needs a skirt repainted (lends to auto body level of painting). LOL, I don't want to end up with multi paint guns for single jobs!

Excellent design! And an excellent instruction! I appreciate that you shared it. I've already tried to make this, but mine didn't turn out as nice. Mostly because of my desktop jointer. It has limitations, especially at 45°. But I think I have a work around for my second attempt, I'll use my router table and a 45° chamfer bit. We'll see (fingers crossed, prayers uttered)! But I did have a question regarding one spec you never mentioned. What was the thickness of your maple and black walnut?

Thanks for the detailed mfg of drawer. I just installed drawer self closing sliders and found that the drawers mfg in or about 2002 and they didn’t cut a grove for the drawer bottoms. They are ok for now but how could I replace the ¼ inch bottoms that they stapled to the drawer vertical sides. I feel the configuration I have is weak. I don’t have all the tools you use but I do have an old Sears table saw and other less sofisticated tolls.

wirebrush with grain, paint, sand, black furniture glaze, wipe, dry for hour, sand to highlight grain, blow dust away, spray laquer/polyurethane to finish

Would it work to use two sheets of melamine and place the butt joint at a miter slot? That way the top would be seamless at the actual business end. I assume you are gong to extend those slots to allow the miter gauge tools to fully pass.
