Would love a followup especially on our WA pea gravel as im considering them for my new to me 990SM. Every time I find a nice lookout in the hills or down south its always gravel and wouldnt mind the odd blast down a fire road either!

They've been really good both on and off-road. However, I ride pretty aggressively (off camera 😅) and my rear one hasn't lasted as long as other riders have said theirs did. I'd still strongly recommend them.

Going down to 150 from 160 didn't feel any different for me haha. A 160 STR would probably still fit but I was just trying to avoid the possibility of rubbing

Why did you go with the narrower/shorter than stock (24.6 inch tall 6.4 wide) 150/60 rears (24.1 tall 5.9 wide) rather than the 170/60 size (25.0 tall 6.7 wide) which is slightly taller and wider? Unfortunately no 160 size in this tire model. Do you think there is room inside the swing arm for the 170's? Since you changed the tire size, any issues with traction control or abs or any warning lights? Any comments on handling on moderately fast twisty roads? Sorry about the questions, I'm in analysis paralysis. Keep it up.
Haha, all good...happy to help. I went with this size coz I didn't want to gamble with the possibility of rubbing against the chain and swingarm. Visually, it still looks beefy and the handling is super impressive even when doing tight corners on the road. I turned my ABS and TC permanently off and did a YT Short about it. So I can't comment on that. But all in all, I have zero buyers remorse

Yes, the front is a 120/70 R17 and fits with plenty of clearance
