Every time I hear Jacob's actual voice, I'm struck by just how good his accent work was in the show! My southern ass was shook that he wasn't one of us.

Just like with Sam Reid, I know he has a whole thesis on Louis somewhere in his head that I would love to read. He brought so much needed life to the character that now I can not imagine the rest of this show without him taking a large role. His Louis is NOT going to just blend in with the background, and that makes me so happy and excited for what the future holds.

I was thinking that when Louis and Lestat reunite in New Orleans that it's akin to a divorced couple grieving the loss of their child. After so much conflict, their shared pain can still bring them together, if only for a moment.

the conversation about the magnolia tree jogged my memory re: s1e1 when louis is in the confession booth and he says "i laid down with the devil and he has his roots in me. all his spindly roots in me." the metaphorical roots of lestat's seduction vs the physical roots of the tree armand chooses to plant in louis' sacred space, the place where he holds the things that mean the most, the closest thing he has to a physical representation of his soul and armand let all his spindly roots push their way through the rocks until louis finally dug the thing up

But I think the library/bookshelves 📚 suspended in the air that Louis can't reach because he can't fly like Armand represents all the volumes of memories of Louis' life that he couldn't reach all those years B4 because, of course, Armand suppressed many of them. And, of course, Louis had suppressed some of them himself B4 even meeting Armand, I'm sure. Only Armand could access them & Louis was dependent upon Armand to float up to them & bring down the select volumes/ memories he chose to give Louis access to.
When Daniel gives Louis access to the most important "volume" & Louis attacks Armand & the bookcase shatters & all the books come tumbling down, it represents Louis now having FULL access to his memories once again now that they have been brought back down to his level.
When Jacob said "that sounds like a fairly Caucasian thing to be into," I said almost the exact same thing word for word in my head literally 20 seconds before he did. That's too funny.
Autumn has saved the best for last, it’s amazing how you have been able to get these beautiful amazing interviews. Whoever his parents are, are obviously blessed with beautiful genes to make this beautiful specimen of a man.
