- The United States Marine Corps West Coast Composite Band performing The Marines' Hymn at the 134th Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade on Monday, January 2, 2023. This composite group brings three Marine Bands together from around Southern California; Marine Band San Diego, the 1st Marine Division Band and the 3D Marine Aircraft Wing Band. The band members are fully combat-trained and many have been on combat deployments. This fine band has marched in the Rose Parade for over 20 consecutive years.
Before the band, we have the USMC Mounted Colo Guard. It is the only equestrian unit that carries the American flag.

The 2024 Marine Corps Composite Band Drum Major will be GySgt Geoffrey Parks of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band. Also, be aware that for the first time ever, a Scottish pipe and of approximately 150 pipers and drummers will march in the 2-24 Rose Parade led by a number of Drum Majors, one of which is my wife, Colleen MacMillin Wilson.
Sir, what an honor
I still get the same level of chills when hearing this played, as I did when I graduated at Parris Island, in 1969. Semper Fi Marines.
Hell, I'm a squid and the Marine Corp Hymn gives me goose bumps.
Thank once again for featuring the Rose Parade bands. The Marine Corps is always my favorite!
You bet! 👍
Semper Fi!
Always good to see the marines.. Worked with some recon boys in '89. French Guyana jungle training, legion.. Go hard, be loyal. LPN
the staggered right face was 99.9% flawless
Semper Fidelis
What a thrill to watch.Tears to my eyes as I am over whelmed at the Pride I feel, watching this United States Marine Band perform for me. I was at the Rose Parade.
Oh wow, AMAZING! I've never seen a band turn corners like that. 🔥🔥
I always love watching the bands turn on this route
I marched 4 Rose Parades when I was with MCAS El Toro Marine Band, 1978-1982, as 5537, alto sax player. Outstanding times!!
👩🎷🎼🎶🎉
Look forward to this video every year. Thanks.
That turn was sick
Half the rehearsal time is just to get that turn right haha.
It is a year since they performed. I live in Pasadena and if I go to the Rose Parade I just to watch the Marine Corp band
This never gets old!! Love my Marines!!!
Fantastic
I have to listen to the Marine Corp. Rose Bowl parade performance every six months or so to remind me what this country stands for.
Very Good. Estados Unidos. De América. Bravo.
👍👍👍通過彎道的時候,隊形變換非常有創意。
You are absolutely in step. Looking incredibly sharp and sounds fantastic!
Oorah!
My Father-in-Law was part of this band in the mid 60s before he went to Vietnam and was wounded twice. He's now in a rest home with advanced dementia. Semper Fi
Semper Fi, Brothers and Sisters!!!!
The turn that officer did was sharp
If you hear this hymn or see a Marine you know you are safe!!!!
bro i was their as well!
One of the great military ensembles in the world, and they do it year after year. I especially like that they broke out the rope-tensioned drums. In this type of band these sound far superior to any contemporary snares. It's not even close. Say, does anyone know why they are marching with. a smaller group this year??
Marines don't march: they STRUT!
Is there an East Coast Composite Band? Do they exist?
"Semper-Fi"
only eight sousaphones this year...
The band, as always looks great but a bit disappointed in the spectators. It used to be customary for the spectators to stand when the Marine Band passed by playing the Marine Hymn. I guess that custom has gone by the wayside.
I’m now questioning the uniform stance of the two men on close side of your screen and horses. Out of step… the non-NCO should have taken a quick peek at the NCO in front of him. I’d rip my Jr. Marine for that trash, it’s not demote or pay deduction worthy of an F up
