That’s my brother, Earskin! So proud ❤
been watching your videos for approx the last six months, Ari. this is one of my favorites. age 50, backed off 401k contributions to just get the full match to start building up my "superhero" account and keep contributing to my Roth IRA. great examples here!
Love that it resonated and appreciate you sharing that
Great case study-thanks for the valuable info as always!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Ari for another case study, it was very informative!
My pleasure!
Appreciate the case study and great example on how to utilize the academy tool better.
Glad it was helpful!
Extremely interesting and user friendly. Perhaps you can explore in future videos "investment returns" forecast and volatility (risk of returns) as this is the main variable that we have no control. To stretch future returns in order to meet a plan does not sound as a good practice. A good video describing Montecarlo simulation is also very welcome.
How do you mix your assets in a super hero account 3 and a half years from retirement?
Hi Ari. What’s the difference between your academy and your partner James academy? They have different prices. Thanks. By the way, I speak Portuguese. It’s not that confusing… lol
Same software, just different instructor and mind is early retirement specific. We build everything with the same philosophy.
Thank you Ari for the excellent case study! Regarding your point of bringing in some extra income to use for expenses while allowing your portfolio to keep growing by withdrawing less, I wonder what your thoughts are of, instead of earning some income, why not starting SS early at 62? I know that this will permanently reduce your benefit and may hinder some tax planning, but if you have an aggressive portfolio with potentially a high rate of return, wouldn’t allowing it to grow by taking SS earlier result in more money to spend and/or a higher balance at the end?
You’re welcome! Great question and I’ll address in a future video :)
Question: to avoid being qualified rich cash poor i was thinking about saving in a Roth 401(k), then converting it to Ira upon early retirement, then living off the contribution withdrawals. Would that make sense? That way the earnings would still be available tax free in retirement and for use on health insurance premiums. I don’t think you touched on this in the video.
Will go through pros/cons of this in future videos :)
Ear-skin was very informative
He sounded like a voice actor.
Thank you. I wish I was😊
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Following your videos to play with the software from the academy. I noticed that the retirement allocation field is not under the action items in the software. It is no big deal.
Thank you. Please see Lesson 1, Module 2 :) for instructions!
@@earlyretirementari Thanks for the quick reply. I rewatched the video. In the instruction video, I see a drop-down menu for "retirement allocation" and not "asset allocation." In the software, I see "asset allocation" but not "retirement allocation." So, I thought there was a name change in different versions. In the video you just uploaded, I see both "asset allocation" and "retirement allocation." You guys have already activated the sliders for goals for me. I see in the notes that some toggles are not available. I wonder whether "retirement allocation" is one of them. In any case, no big deal. Your videos and what I see in the software allow me to do essentially what I want to do. Thank you for making the package available.
Erskine has a potential side-hustle as an audio book reader/voice actor waiting for him! Wow! Such a nice voice!
@@heidikamrath1951thank for the kind words.
Is the anount of $ at the end of 97 years old in future $ and if so, how much inflation % was used?
It’s the present value of future dollars (what that amount would be worth today) and inflation is assumed at 3% throughout.
@@earlyretirementari thanks!
