Top tip. To save your digging head and replacement parts. Don't stop in yhe slurry. It sucks back grit wearing out the ceramic inside
I’m currently a Hydroblast Technician but eventually in the long run I want to branch over to hydro vac that’s where the money is at 💰💰💰
What do you do for a living…….. I wash dirt and make holes . 😂
Dig* 😉✌️
Yeah I do hydro digging everyday the pay at the end of the week is awesome 👌 and it's also fun to do
And what office job do you do??
Probally make coffees for everyone
@@kevinlangford1979 I work for ups for a living. Wasn’t knocking what you do for a living. Mad respect for anyone who works hard for their families.
Exactly what I tell people.
Nice easy ground dig to in. In Calgary, AB we got boulders. Vaccers always have a nice pile on the side for each hole.
Yea we get that a lot too, a lot of shale as well North of the city.😁✊
im looking into going to alberta for vac truck operator. is it a good job? hows the work/ is there something better to look into
@@CJmontage101 tons of work for a Vac operator. Especially with the pipelines.
@dantruong2582 that was the goal to get into the pipe lines. I broke my back riding dirtbikes last year so trying to stick away from anything to labor intensive. How is the actual work day to day is it physically demanding? Appreciate the response. Valuable information. Deciding on what course to take is tricky
You might want to increase your CFM a bit. It seems that your hose doesn't want to take up the rocks with the slurry.
It sucks up everything, but I do have a leak in my hose which is limiting the suction a bit so I need to fix that. When I dump the rocks are huge.🤷♂️
I knew the feeling back in the day. Along with a coil of 6" hose and hard pipe you always picked up a few roles of duct tape.
If I dug footings by hand as slow as you are digging that connection pit I would be sacked.
🤣🍿✌️
says Tim, the pipe killer
Perfect size for a vault. Bravo.
Thank you! Cheers!
Watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Glad you stopped by, hello from Canada.😁✊
Super stuff
Is this a special vac or just like a shopvac?
Massive hydrovac excavator. Check out some of my other videos especially the tour of my truck.😎🤘
Ive never seen dirt that soft in my life 😭
Hey jack what’s the cheapest solution for extending a vacuum truck or trailer hose?
We use a 6-8” flex hose, it’s a bitch but once you work with it a few times it becomes a lot easier.
What boots are you wearing are those redwings ?
I only use keen utility boots now, so solid I can’t even begin to tell you how comfortable they are. I have the Camden 8” waterproof carbon toe boot. Worth checking out.😉✌️
YUP, This is so god damn cool.
Thank you!😎👊 Got some new camera equipment, a drone and some kewl new ideas for some vlogs and new footage/POVs etc. Enjoy!😉✌️
Lmmfao, I do it all day and now I’m watching it.
🤣✌️
Same! Haha
whats your pressure washing setup how many psi and gpm ?
We’re usually running about 2500 PSI and around 6-8GPM I believe. The magic happens in the spinner tips, they’re amazing at digging and moving earth and stones around.
I was doing this this morning. Hard clay goes a lot slower.
nice,
My inner child dream job.
Right?!😅👌🍿
Was there a message in the bottle???
more like this please
🫡
What kind of gloves do you wear? Link?
Half the time I don’t wear gloves, sometimes I wear really shitty cheap ones and in the winter sometimes cheap rubber gloves with inserts. Nothing particular, whatever is comfortable.🤷♂️
You must love your job
I do 😁👌
#1 rule never never put your hand near suction while it’s on. 🤦🏽♂️
Got me and my helper thinking about starting a CZcams channel
You should, that’s how I got started now I work solo.😎🤘
im new in this hydrovac job,
How fun. It really chaps my ass you didn’t save the grass. Now we have to throw seed down an watch it grow
🤣🤣🤣
How did you find clients?
Easy, I didn’t lol 😅
how many psi.???
Avg 2500
@@Hydrovacjack
WoW
thats some good shit
Appreciate your feedback😁✊
I don't think your supposed to wash all that shit down the outside of your casing. That was supposed to be grouted in before anything else first.
Not sure what you’re talking about.🤷♂️
How much would I earn per hour after the cost of the expenses Ie gas and water, it’s been a nightmare looking I’m hoping someone will tell me, great content !
The cost to run a hydrovac business is insane. Better to work for a company, at least for a while and then decide if u want to go on your own.
@@Hydrovacjack I here’d you’ll profit 3 hundred an hour after expenses? Hopefully it’s not wrong thanks otherwise.
@@michaelhaze4507Not unless you already have enough capital to buy a truck outright. They cost about $15,000/month to rent or rent to own and that’s before fuel, insurance, maintenance, repairs etc. That’s for brand new and depends on the truck. If the truck is paid off you will make decent profit. Most companies charge between $250-$350 CAD/hr. And if you don’t have your truck(s) put on site every single day you’re losing a lot of money.
@@michaelhaze4507if it were that lucrative every Vac operator would be buying his own truck.
Hydrvac trucks charge between 250 450 per hr driver/operator makes between 30-45 per hr us.
do you need your own truck to do this, how much money this guys make
Or a company truck.🤷♂️ On any operators make between $30-$50/hr here in Canada.
Spade. Five minutes! 🤣
🤣🤣🍿🍿
...but not as fun.!!!!
Would be a bad day If you used a spade shovel and damaged the fiber optic cable !
never mind the last comment I got it after looking at another video.
Turn it up!!! 3k lol getter did
🤣👊
@Hydrovacjack in flint r now doin this, lead/cop/galv all day

Fuck a half hour for a small hole, should have atleast dig half the depth then pot hole the rest
20 mins* Not everyone digs the same dude we all have our ways, I’m not competing with anyone nor am I in any kind of race. Cheers.😁✌️
