Hola, vengo a saludar del video de Tesoros Enterrados, que buen hallazgo! Bendiciones!!
Thank You and Bless You to all our Service People
Super cool unit Mike! I love the military, and all who served as well as those who are currently serving. I've been a nurse for 34 years now, have always worked in long term care facilities. I've had the honor of knowing and caring for hundreds of Veterans as well as several holocaust survivors with the serial numbers tattooed on their arms from the concentration camps. It reminds me each day how lucky each of us are to live in the greatest country in the world, and how many have paid the price for our freedom.
Awww, thank you for the love, Pirate! U.S. Navy 1988-1992.
So much history just packed away. Great finds. Hopefully they get to people who will treasure them!
This unit is awesome!! I think it's amazing that someone amassed such a collection.. you don't see people getting into collecting like this anymore 😟 ... Watching this video reminded me of all those soldiers that have fought for our great country... To all those who have served I THANK YOU ❤️.. and thank you Mike for sharing this man's knowledge with us. I hope to see more 😊 Stay Blessed ❤️

For Salt Princess: When the word "mess" was first used in the English language, it meant a portion of food. The term "mess hall" evolved to mean the place where you went for your portion of food (to eat). Similarly, a mess kit was the metal "box" that contained your utensils. If you were lucky enough to have hot meals during wartime, you'd open the mess kit, slide the portioned piece on the metal bar that holds it in place when it was folded up, and the mess sergeant would plop your food on it. You always had it with you so you always had a plate, spoon, and fork. You could use the part with the metal strap as a frying pan in a pinch. I've used it to heat water for washing up when in the field for war games. So now you know more than you ever wanted about that. :D
Yo veo a comprando depósitos a Manuel pienso que ahorita son los mejores storage auction pirate los amo a los dos
Brings back a lot of memories I was in the hundred first Screaming Eagle brings back lots and lots of memories
You really hit a home run there Mike!! That civil war material is amazing. I know the tintype of the soldier could go for a couple of hundred, especially as you have the name of the soldier on the back. Good look with this haul as I could see you doing really well with it with the right seller.
Congrats on 60k subs great vintage military.
This is an awesome unit so far Mike. Hope you have a great day
101st Airborne is Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
14:57 When you said that it reminded me of a childhood friend who's mother worked for a place that made badges. He was always showing up at school with a different police badge (third grade mid '70s). I remember him showing up with one where he said the officer was killed on the job as a rookie before they could ship the badge. One day he brought me my own badge with my name on it. I wish I still had it.
What a hook up , the dude knows his stuff. Killing it pirate ! Keep that smile on!😸

Huge military haul Mike.
Here Salt Princess
Military have their meals in the Officer's Mess and you may hear an enlisted man say he's going to chow in the Mess Hall. A When it first appeared in English, mess meant a portion of food. This came from the Old French mes, “a dish”, which in modern French is spelt mets. So it came about around WW1 or WW2
Thank you 🙏

9:05 In the seventies, we called those green things for the pants leg "blousing rubbers" or "blousing bands." When the pant leg is tucked into the combat boot, some of the fabric is pulled out and over the boot top--that's called blousing. In the late 70s/early 80s, they switched to black elastic with velcro to do the same thing. They also work pretty well for keeping your pant leg out of your bicycle chain.
Right after that, the faded red banner is indeed from Fort Snelling in Minnesota. Fort Snelling is near the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport and is an interesting site. Soldiers stationed their fought in the Indian wars and the Spanish American war. It was decommissioned and given to the state after WWII in 1945. There's a veterans' cemetery and a state part on the site now. Some of the building are being renovated to provide low-cost housing for the poor. Sorry--geeked out on the Minnesota history thing. I actually had some of my military NCO training there (National Guard).
Very cool Info
"X" Marks the spot!

According to Google in Old French a mess is a small dish now is pronounced in French Mets
You now have this video so you can go back and price each item Cool!
Mess comes from the French term mes meaning dish. Officers at mess in the mess hall enlisted men ate Chow in the Mess Hall.
Hola muy interesante no me pierdo un video mucha suerte
A Warrant Officer was the rank between the enlisted highest rank and the lowest officer rank in the Navy.
I learned about when I was in the Navy in the early mid 70's.The rank of warrant Officer is no longer a rank. They eliminated it.
It don't hurt 2 look up some of those names on the hats
I always love all military especially Air Force and navy
What about those white belts you found? Any connection to the buckle?
Te felicito bro. Por traducir bendiciones

You should make these videos longer then 17 min
Omg what an awesome video. I can't believe someone would let this locker go. Must of passed away and the family didn't know about it. I just hope you look into the really old ones seeing if you can locate the families see if they want to purchase them to pass onto their who knows great great grandchildren or further back than that especially the really old ones. Just be soooooooo interesting to learn about the people who served with the piece's of history you have in your hands. Glad you know someone who knows alot about war piece's. So neat to have a little history lesson too. Thanks for sharing your awesome find with us. Thank you to all the service men and women who served or are serving now. Thank you for all the sacrifices you gave up to watch over us. Missed out on family events missed out on everything. And many gave the biggest sacrifice their lives. Gone too soon. I pray everyday for our soldiers our police officers and our first responders they go to work everyday not knowing what will happen just knowing they are there to do their job no matter what happens they aren't afraid to give their 100%. I pray they all get home safely in the arms of their families each day. Amen.
15:36 that uniform is from an artillery guy do to the red and green forgé
Excelent vengo de parte de tesoros enterrados.. Buen vídeo
Any WWII Us Army/USAAF Manhattan project patches?
Lol a Warrant Officer is a sailor that went through the enlisted ranks and became an officer. There are 4 ranks of warrant and they are powerful. It is a sign of excellence and hard work to achieve and there are not a lot of them.
Hola , muy bueno el canal . Estamos llegando desde el amigo de Tesoros Enterrados. Felicitaciones
Yea
1:49 Army hat also known as a “pie plate”.
The answer is: "A mess or mess hall (also called a mess deck aboard ships) is an area where military personnel socialize, eat, and (in some cases) live. The term is also used to indicate the groups of military personnel who belong to separate messes, such as the Officers' mess, the CPOs' mess, the Enlisted mess. In some civilian societies this military usage has been extended to the eating arrangements of other disciplined services such as fire fighting and police forces.
"The root of mess is the Old French mes, "portion of food" (cf. modern French mets), drawn from the Latin verb mittere, meaning "to send" and "to put" (cf. modern French mettre), the original sense being "a course of a meal put on the table"; cfr. also the modern Italian portata with the same meaning, past participle of portare, to bring. This sense of mess, which appeared in English in the 13th century, was often used for cooked or liquid dishes in particular, as in the "mess of pottage" (porridge or soup) or Eton mess."
Was great watching you go through all this stuff! Is ther any chance I can get in touch with your friend who collects fire patches? Im a fire fighter in Australia and am making an honor board in our station for emergency services from around the world. Im trying to get fire brigade patches and EMT/EMS patches. I have some I can trade and can also trade some of our Australian ones, if hes interested.

You May want to get a second opinion on the Military Gear. His prices are extremely out of wack. Plus the year on some of those items he is completely wrong on.
