I remember fighting on the same same card as farid at fightstar championships when I was an amateur. It was my first bout and he was the main card. He was up against some roided up kazakstani wrestler (never easy) and just dominated the guy start to finish. I think what I find so impressive about these guys (among many things) is being in a sport with obvious PED use among athletes, as Javid mentioned about the weight cutting, alot of the fighters are HUGE for their weight class - but I truly believe they are natural and doing it the right way which makes their already exceptionally hard task of being UFC champs even harder, regardless they keep beating the odds against tougher and tougher (enhanced) opponents.. as a true MMA fan it’s just crazy to see. Even their training partner Prince Albazi I’ve heard back in shoot fighters may have dabbled in PED’s - which to be fair I don’t blame as most competition take it, I don’t believe even khabibs teammates are completely innocent of this in the past either with islams accusations recently and I do believe Umar must have in the past too….but I’m actually so impressed with these two they’ve clearly got unwavering values, an insane work ethic (naturally) and I truly do want them to hold the belts one day. InshAllah ☝️
