Is this the Craziest Line Ever Skied?

This winter Ian McIntosh, Dane Tudor, and Griffin Post boarded a beaver plane and flew deep into the Tordrillo mountains for a month long winter camping trip. The goal... to climb and ski massive spine lines, each visible from their small camp erected deep in the Alaskan wilderness.
It was a difficult month, with a four-day storm piling eight feet of snow on the crew. One morning to their horror, they woke up and discovered that their cook tent had collapsed. "Our guides Ed Shanley and Shane Treat were the real heroes" said TGR drone operator Austin Hokpins. "They completely saved the tent and trip", using bamboo poles to rebuild the collapsed structure.
The idea of the trip was conceived by TGR's resident tall guy Ian McIntosh. He was inspired by fellow athlete Jeremy Jones to dive deeper into the human powered experience. The culmination of this hard work was a line in a section dubbed the "Gnar Wall".
The skiing was the definition of this year's film title, "Tight Loose". Ian almost washes out while checking speed, but somehow miraculously rides out of a double air. The trip marks a turning point in McIntosh's career, as he focuses less on helicopters. They are great for volume, but nothing beats the intimate feeling of hiking a line according to Ian.
We at TGR are stoked to see what is next for Ian and company.

There is a point where “steep” becomes “omg im falling down a mountian”
So true lol
copied comment but fair enough lmao
@@hyejulko really? Lol i didn’t see this comment anywhere else but ty for letting me know Imao
@Cløudy double back shouldnt feel like falling down the mountain unless you’re just not experienced enough
LMAOOOOOO
This is how my grandparents got to school
Mine had to go up the hill..
@@doctordinternet mine on the way back home
Ha aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa lmao
Mine didn't have skis, they tied school-books on their feet.
Mine too, uphill, both ways.
you know its steep when the GoPro makes it look steep
If it looks scary in 1st person video, it’s fckn terrifying in real life
@@Emira_75 does gopro make it look easier or something?
@@RRJOfficial Its just not 3D as you would see it in person. I ride steep sections on my bike where I would not dare to walk and on video when I look at it back home, it seems like, meh, its somewhat downhill.
@@soulwriter9655 For me this video looks creepy as hell on GoPro. Also when playing games and I look down from a high building, it makes me scared like I was really that high and when I jump, it's the same. I think it has something to do with the fact I passed out while jumping 150m bungee jump (my first ever jump) and even 20m hights makes me dizzy today and sometimes I feel like dropping when I go to sleep. I used to climb on high buildings and enjoy the view. For some reason I can feel the hights from a video even if it isn't 3D.
@@soulwriter9655 Maybe it's some kind of PTSD or high place scare, maybe I should take some pills and jump again, unless it makes it even more worse, haha. My point is that somehow I can sense / understand those heights on a video game or CZcams video like they were happening in real life and don't look high for others. My motion sense has increased, too. When I compare the two different camera views on this video, I don't see any difference. :)
That wasnt skiing... that was falling with style!
My thoughts exactly
his mom disliked it..
So basically he has 146 moms
His girlfriend same..

These people are insane. Literally fearless. They have extreme adrenaline.
Not fearless. If you show them a cubicle their palms will probably get real sweaty.
they are afraid asf, and that is why they stay focused all the time if u would be relaxed on that slide probably you would make a mistake somewhere and die xd
@Duchampe good point
Most of them are not insane but rationally delusional (which is pretty close but not medically close enough to actually be considered insane, although yes, some of the folks involved in extreme sports are literally insane). Also, they have and feel fear.
that was so close to catastrophe, crazy!
Man almost caused an avalanche
Ya

Yappp
Quantum Craft yeah so
imagine them at the end being like....we didn’t press record

Ski teacher: watch out for snowslides
Ian: I am the snowslide
New sport: Ski diving.
Ian you're a crazy man
this aint even skiing this is just falling gracefully
Watching this makes me wanna drop out of college and focus fully on skiing down fuck off mountains.
Does that bring food on your table though?
As you may have found out by now, dropping out of school can at time be a lot more dangerous than dropping off mountains.
Every now and then I watch stuff like this just to feel my palms sweat
«Вы здоровы!!!» - это самые заветные слова для всех!! Будьте все здоровы и счастливы..))+++
Tight Loose came out the first year I got back into skiing. I was instantly completely hooked on more than i already was
I can't stop watching this.

Hallo

Can I just say... thanks for the awesome editing. Just a straight up dropping in in 3-2-1. Boom! Holdin' on for the ride of your life and taking us along with you. Lovin' both camera views! As for the skiing... no fear, great balance! Well done, ma'am! Well done!
I know its 20's but dont expect every nice thing you brain puts eyes on to be a female, please.😅
Living on the edge-wow! Can't believe you landed that fall.
That was........ AWESOME!!!
Beautiful!
Yeah. That was insane. Any line that requires landing a cliff jump then 2 super steep cross fall line turns to hit the takeoff spot for another is a recipe for serious injury no matter how good you are.
I did some pretty insane stuff in my late teens & early 20s on steep slopes & cliffs, but nothing that crazy. Of course that was before we even had modern parabolic skis. My 207cm Rossignol 4sks were the envy of my less firtunate back country ski buddies.
Salute to these brave souls
So beautiful
That was awesome!!!!
Most Perfect lines!
that was wild glad you made it
That Was Epic!
I do not understand it. How anybody give this a thumbs down? What is there not to like about it? It's amazing.

This is like me on top of a mountain in skyrim trying hard not to die and get to somewhere else by falling
Mind blowing
Have fun
This looks like the peak of life. I am a really strong skiier. I rarely meet a skiier better than me and im not even 20 yet.
