      @ Would be awesome and a great service to the community! I got the transcription by alex kiermaier but even some basic handwork stuff is hard to understand for me..

    I love this, I'm an absolute amateur & have just been practicing attacking from high guards on my own. your demonstration of how smoothly you can change from an attack into another really helps me understand how to fight fluidly! Keep it up, MORE LONGSWORDS!

      I will provide more the upcoming days...stay tuned mate :)

      Every cut can be done from the crown, as the crown is a prime binding guard. Over reliance can result in scarred hands if you remain in it, however.

    Thank you for focusing on thumb on flat and grip adroitness. Vastly overlooked in this thing. Also commenting that set plays shouldn’t be strict is excellent. Not kata, after all.

    I wouldn't have thought multiple horizontal cuts like that would be safe, I prefer round fluid cuts from the high guard as they give me the chance to get the blade back into a defensive position.
    But then my form's influenced by Italian treaties 🙂 As always a perfect demonstration though, I'd love to see it used successfully in a sparring session

    • @Mattias_Tannhauser
      @Mattias_Tannhauser Před 2 lety +3

      Twitching zwerks is great for an opening attack, it keeps your opponent on the defensive, and all your cuts are to ochs and long point, giving you excellent position to bind and hang to then cut to an opening.

    • @jaketheasianguy3307
      @jaketheasianguy3307 Před 2 lety +1

      The Zwercopter combo is always faster and more secure than the standard horizontal cut/mezzani. The only weakness is that your range is a bit shorter since you're using thumb grip.
      Personally I think the zwer is way better as a cut to the next opening than the full rotation fendente since it's so much faster. Like Vadi said :"every long tempo is lost", even though he didn't mean this attack but it still apply

    Good lesson. It's nice to see you showed the "thumb" part too, because most people don't show those details, that are strangely overlooked. Thanks for the lesson and explanation.👍

    I just got recommended this but seeing that executed at full speed was insane how fast it moved. I’ve only ever seen buhurt and never this sport. Very interesting to see and have it broken down in terms I can understand with no before hand knowledge
