Love your videos. Just found you today. I have had several ozark trail tents including my 8 person but I seam seal all of my budget tents and spray waterproofing on the outside as well. I’ve had my 8 person for about 8 years and never have had a drop of rain inside.
So glad you enjoy them! This tent lasted years but at the end of fall last year I got a rip too big to repair in it unfortunately. Not the tents fault, it was me 🙁. I have so many Ozark trail tents. Waterproof tent with silicone tint waterproofing and the seams I've had two Ozark trail 10x20 ft tents never leaked after I waterproof them and I used them for over 15 years.
My son has a similar tent about the same age, maybe a yr or 2 older, I dont think it has the lights. They used it a few weeks ago on a shark tooth hunting weekend.. My heart son, my sons life long bestie used a tent HIS dad used before he passed, it has to be more than 35yrs old, canvas thats been repaired a dozen times and waterproofed lord know how many times, big clunky poles the whole old school camping setup..

To be fair, you also said you had that tent for a good five years, so I wouldn't be surprised if some wear and tear was a factor in that too since they're cheap Hell Mart tents. I gotta say though, I do enjoy my 3 person A-frame tent from them. Was in it last night, and woke up to a light rain this morning with not a drop to be found inside. Would have been nice to have that media pocket though, not gonna lie lol.
@Logan often I just use my tripod as a media holder. I wouldn’t surprised if you could buy a media pocket on Amazon. Those AFrames are still my favorite one person tent. They are just perfect. Thanks for watching.
I have 3 of the Ozark trail instant cabins, a 4 person, 6 person, both with the lights built in, then a 9 person, no lights but a screen porch. They have all been great. 6 person is the most used, had it 5-6 years. I love all 3 of em, no complaints on any of em

Whats up Broski! This tent right here I would just make the party tent. Ya got place to put food sit incloused...encloused?...Not sure how to spell that my phones not helping but anyways a spot where the bugs cant get ya and just eat good food and lots of step 2s. So this tent is 100% worth it!

@Electric City Dan I haven’t tested it on film. I used to have that tent years ago. I had it setup out back playing around one spring. Oh wait I’ll get back to that story. I made that tent into a hot tent(added a stove jack, I will do that again) anyways, setup out back one spring. My oldest daughter had just learned how to ride a two wheeler and rode her bike right into the side of it and tore it right open. No repairing it. I will say I sprayed at least 8 cans of silicone spray on it to help waterproof it and it still leaked. Maybe the next one will be better. Thanks for watching
