Multnomah Falls || Exploring the Columbia River Gorge in a Snow Storm

I don't think it's a secret that Multnomah Falls is the most iconic, and most frequented waterfall in Oregon (and for good reason too). It is possibly the most picturesque waterfall out there, with an amazing facility dedicated to it.
With the extreme popularity of it comes massive crowds at all hours of the day to witness the waterfall. It's for that reason that most of us photographers steer clear of this location.
However, whenever there's a snowstorm in the greater Portland Metro area, most people stay home. Which means photographers like myself get the brief chance to go out and capture it in all its glory without a soul around.
Also with that, it is rare to see the waterfall covered in snow. So it's really a perfect storm of conditions when it snows here.
In this video, I capitalize on a 2023 winter snow storm we had in the area, and got to experience the Columbia River Gorge as a winter wonderland.

gives me an excuse to travel. I grew up in Canada and had so many accidents in snow that I just had to get out of there. Love to visit the snow though. But that day on your vid looked amazing and peaceful. I forget how quiet everything gets with a layer of snow on it.@@eliastcobb5506
