In this video I am demonstrating the Latin Percussion Galaxy Giovanni Series Bongos. This set of premium bongos bare the name of Giovanni Hidalgo, the world renowned percussionist that has recorded on hundreds of records and set the gold standard for hand drumming. When LP decided to make percussion instruments with Giovanni's name on them they knew that only the best components would do.
The Galaxy Giovanni bongos are made from premium kiln dried North American ash. With drums like bongos and congas the manufacturing process is know as stave construction. The pieces of wood are glued together vertically and these LP drums are made with such precision that there are no visible joints at all. Add to that the beautiful lacquer finish, elegant gold hardware, and you have one beautiful set of bongos.
These drums come with authentic raw-hide heads for a fantastic traditional sound. The high-carbon steel tuning lugs and precision-cut threads make it so these drums can stand the high tension tuning that make real bongos sound the way they do. These drums also comes with LP's Comfort Curve II rims which make the bongos very comfortable to play.

Yes, a great drummer doesn't make a decent bongo player. This instrument must be respected and correctly played and tuned !
I have these & best sound & greatful not to have LP Aspire bongos. I mean LP Aspire bongos are not bad sound, but these are what my playing skills.
