My name is Victor Ma , My English is poor, but i will try my best . I am car collector in Hong Kong, When i am young, i play a lot of RC car at 70s-80s.I still
remember Japan built a lot of nice scale RC model, such as Sanwa, they built 1/12 Porsche 935, Lamborghini Countach, , Savanna built RX-7 , Nichimo got Lancia Stratos, Tamiya built the XR311 Combat, Lamborghini Cheetah , most people belive Tayima built the first off road radio control model in the world, this is not true, The true is Tayima built the very nice 1/12 scale RC model with 540 motor, but it is not success, i remember i got XR311 first, than Cheetah, both got same chassis, very nice 4 wheel indenpendent suspension, but rear wheel drive, no diff gear, CV joint not strong enough, suspension too soft, use plastic torsion bar, gear box very easy broken, the first success 4wd 1/12 RC model built by Eidai Grip , they want to built a 4wd Lamborghini Cheetah, the Chassis is metal front and rear axle got diff gear, middle 540 motor, use 2 belt to drive, they copy the Cheetah 4 wheel metal double A arm suspension, they copy the sand tire and wheel too, but because of the belt drive system is too height, when they put the plastic Cheetah body on , they discover some problem, so they change a Toyota Land Cruiser 40 body and a Beetle body!, they still use same Cheetah body and wheel to built a ready go rear wheel drive RC toy. Kyosho early product never success, both in body and performance,i remember i got their 1/12 Countach, body super rough, i got 1/12 Range Rover and 1/12 512BB metal chassis got 2 gear, one F and one R , independent suspension with a 0.6 engine, at that time 0.6 engine not reliable. until early 80s Kyosho got the 1/10 4wd chain drive CJ7 and Nissan Pick up, got both 540 or 0.6 engine power, 2 speed gear box too, 1 F and 1R , but not in scale, it is a little over size. another most success product is 1/8 scale Land Jump, 4wd with 21 engine full metal but very heavy. At same time Tamiya built world most success 1/10 Chev Blazing Blazer and Hilux 4x4 in 10 scale, this model with metal ladder type chassis, 3 speed gear box, first speed with 4wd, second speed and top speed just rear wheel drive, leaf spring, all radio gear put inside a water proof box, but it got problem too, because of not Diff gear at both axle, front axle need a manual free wheel hub for you to use second and top speed, leaf spring use wrong metal, this is why i need DIY the leaf spring, make it soft in scale performance,i remember i use this RC to built 6wd chassis. Early 80s RC car make bigger and Bigger, because performance, Long A arm and wide tire and over size tire made the RC off road car got better performance. I will show them if you like to know the RC history at 70s-80s.
This channel not just for FMS/Rochobby realistic RC car, but also show you a RC world history between 1970s-end of 1980s, and not just show some Tamiya / Kyosho/Maruin kit, most are expensive ready to run RC model .
Thank you for your time to read it.

Hi I am Victor Ma, This video is about one of the most iconic F1 racer RC model car ever built: the Tyrrell P34 built by Tamiya at 1977. This is a 1/10 scale model kit, with a 380 motor, 2 gear box to chose, it is front 4 wheel steering and with seesaw front suspension.Rear axle got a diff gear for better steering, almost real rubber tire use 4 middle size battery, any 2ch radio control system will fit. At same time some very nice 1/16, 1/10 built by Nikko most are ready go model. One ISHIMASA Japan made 1/12 scale with 09 engine power, but this RC kit got a lot of problem, leak of rear diff, engine and carb not reliable etc etc.

2023 April we will have a 1/12 scale world's best realistic Hummer H1, this vehicle you must have it, better than my original 1/1 H1,
8 ch RC system, not just with Hi/Lo gear, portal axle, IFS,IRS , V8 diesel turbo 6.5 engine inside with a motor, part time 4wd transfer case, light system, but it got world's smallest 2 diff with 100% locking system and 4 wheel drive steering system. all are dream.

I have this very early production run kit.: the rear axle bearings and front wheel bearings are very odd and there are no bearing kits available. They changed the rear axle bushings to a usable ball bearing style on later issue kits. I know this cus my original car has it and I just purchased a new old stock style with the updated bearings..

I Have a 1977 version, but I struggle to get parts for it and the kits on ebay go for way too much money. Where can I get parts for it besides ebay? or should I just give up and sell it for parts?
