I absolutely love the Laundry Lounge!! I love to hang clothes on the lines outdoors but we had to quit doing that because I have arthritis in my shoulders and it is difficult for me to raise my arms up high enough to hang clothes.
But in 2020 a part went bad on our gas dryer and we couldn't get it (as things were not coming as usual) for over a month or more and my husband put up new clotheslines for me and I give God all the glory that for that time I was able to raise my arms and enjoy hanging all our clothes and household laundry on the lines!!
I am now 75 years old and have hung countless items on clotheslines over the years.
That tractor is a necessity for all the work you do. The laundry lounge looks perfect. Very pretty addition to the yard and multi purpose.

I have the John Deere version of this little tractor, and I LOVE it! You'll be surprised at how strong and capable that little thing is. One tip, though-- when your loader is filled, you want to "travel" with the bucket in a lower position. Much less chance of rolling over. ❤ you guys. Keep up the good work!!

Round pea gravel of any thickness where you are walking and working is like walking on ice. The rock never settles or locks in place and just shifts with every step. The aggregate you did get will settle and lock, but still drain. Wise decision.

What a great video from start to finish. I had a line back in my cloth diaper days and hubby and I loved sheets hung as well as towels. Good memories. That sweet 🐢….. adorable and happy!
That’s what we did too…cloth diapers and our sheets.. his work clothes and our underwear always smelled fresh..

Now that the laundry gazebo is done its perfect! I'm afraid that your wanting 3/4 stone would have been too big. I'm glad you ended up getting this. It's the right size. It's great underfoot and looks terrific.
Flash from the past. Mom told me to hang the "unmentionables" on the inside line, so no one would see them when walking by. 😅
I always do that, though how anyone could be walking past my full fenced yard and see the clothesline is beyond me. 😀

I think your clothes line looks super cute. Here in Australia we all have clothes lines in our back yards so it makes perfect sense to us. I like the idea of having a roof over the top to keep sun and rain off the clothes. I live in a tropical climate so I bring my clothes in as early as possible to minimise the sun fading them. I prefer to hang them on my porch area but they don’t get as good airflow. 😊

You could hang clothes on hangers that will be hung in a closet when dry, and hang them on those side rods to dry. Thus freeing up some line space.

I love clothes on the line. That was my job before school. I would hang them out and in the winter they would freeze before I could put pins on them. They smell so good when hung out. After I married there was a point when we couldn't afford a washer. So I washed clothes in the bathtub. Glad to see you got a tractor that will help out a lot.
Same with my mother. Thankfully for her, it was only a year or two but my sister and I were 2 and 3 at the time so still a lot of work involved and the tub was upstairs. I’m glad to be reminded of things like that because it helps be more appreciative of the today’s conveniences.
Don’t know anything about tractors but, I love a little red tractor. 🏎️ Congratulations guys, I bet it will be amazing and useful in so many ways.

The more you use your loader, the more uses you will discover to use your loader.. Talk about a power wheelbarrow- Yeah baby! That and so much more.
That fill material looks like what they call A1. Over time it should pack in hard enough that you could roll a floor jack across it.

Looks more like "dense grade" . It is great for outdoor areas and will pack nice and thick. Looks great with it all completed.

Been married 51 years and still use our clothes line. Our black smith made ours super strong back then. Have coated metal wire also. Nothing like sun fresh clothes. Get new on the work you can do with the tractor. Saw that one shovel full and thought do something easier. Lol blessing turtle 🐢cute

Wow, I envy this set-up. We hang clothes under trees. It works but of course is not entirely rain-proof. This gazebo is a dream.
OMG, I could use that tractor. I want to cover my front yard with pea gravel and just have raised beds. I’m old and feel like I’ve done my time pulling weeds. I’ve yet to decide how I’m going to do that. That tractor sure would be nice😁
Put down a super heavy duty landscape fabric before the pea gravel, otherwise in a couple of year's your pea gravel will be full of weeds, thus defeating the entire purpose of it.
I don't see how weeds will grow up through 6 to 8 inches of pea gravel?
That is definitely a luxurious Laundry Lounge! So practical and multifunctional. Today I am touring 3 different homes in my search to relocate, all 3 have a gazebo or covered area on the deck. I am thinking about installing a retractable system or something similar, especially practical during warm weather. All credit to Ashley and Doug, of course! The unobstructed airflow will dry clothes so much faster than indoor drying racks. And for some strange reason I am suddenly thinking about a small tractor that I can also use as a a mower (with attachments, of course). I wonder where that thought originated??? That is a very practical investment for your family. So very useful.
If you put a big log from your property in the shallower water but semi secluded you may get a spot for turtles to bask on and be able to observe them. As usual, I just love this family and all your content. Your home is looking beautiful!!!

Next super mini project, a hanging peg bag. You hang it on the line and push it along as you peg up the clothes, and as you take it down, they go back in the bag. My mom made hers from a plastic store pants hanger (with metal hook) with the ends removed, and cloth bag stitched around that.

Every time I watch DIYiffernt or Green Acre Homestead, I think of the children's book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie"...LOL. Not in a bad way. I would be the same way. I've always told myself, when doing projects, "Man, if I just had something to make this so much better and easier!" If I had my own property, that kind of tractor would be so useful. I would be on it all the time trying to find something else I needed it for. So much would be done!
I absolutely love this idea for a clothes line. I am 60 and don't like being out in the heat hanging up my clothes. This would be a great life saver for us. It is stunning.

Yellow and red eared slider turtles make great long-term pets! From the pattern on its underside, he is a male, because the 4 dot pattern closest to his tail, isn't connected to make a complete U. Time to pick out a name!! LOL!! I would keep a lookout for his siblings to appear, in the next few days.
