Thank you, George, for showing this. I’ve been a TMT fan for forty years. I have all the albums, then cd’s, and I’ve watched one-song performances as they’re shown on CZcams. This was bliss! They’ve been at this fifty years! I’m seventy-nine and they have always been my Number One. Thanks!
This is just so wonderful , I have been a fan since Tim's first album , sad to think he is no longer with us , they were best vocal band I heard in my life , thank you for posting this
First Tv show we were in a motel room in New Mexico on vacation. I fell in love with them and have been a fan ever since. One of their concerts was the best concert i ever went to!❤❤❤❤😊
I have wanted to see one of their shows again for sooooo long! I remember this as a summer replacement and just fell in love with the group! AND the music! Thank you for posting!!!!!!!!
I loved their show. Hearing Tuxedo Junction brings back so many happy memories. My husband was friends with Laurel's grandparents and we visited them often. Her grandfather, Leonard Kronendonk was with Fred Waring's Pennsyvanians, one of the finest bass-baritones of his era.
Ohhh, how I've loved this group ! Through all iterations & musical changes. Such talent ! ----------RIP, Tim Hauser, & Eldorado Caddy .-----------------MJL, 76 y/o
I can remember watching this when it aired back during the summer of '75. So much fun, and the Bicentennial Minute at the end was a nice bonus. They advertised "The Dick Cavett Show" as airing on Saturday nights at 10 p.m. Carol Burnett must not have moved to that timeslot yet.
No wonder people are walking away from today's music. No wonder why there's no artist out there that has "longevity." Time to shut the music industry down... permanently.
Wow, what a gem!!!! Here in the UK I had no idea such a show existed. Was it weekly? How many episodes? Are any more available now?! I fell in love with the ManTran when Chanson d'Amour hit the charts here in '76, and I avidly bought and devoured all their early albums. In fact Chanson and then Je t'attends lit the spark for French in me and determined the entire direction of my life to this day. God bless ManTran (and the wonderful Laurel Massé, who was such a loss to the group) - now finished their final tour, but I pray they'll be tempted to return from retirement someday 🙏❤❤
i totally did NOT expect Jon Voight would, in a million years, ever connected to The Manhattan Transfer. man, how times've changed. He used to be an okay dude.
Thanks to this poster! I must admit to having seen the original broadcast. So be kind to an old, olde cat lady. We’re a dying breed. Now there are non-binary semi-cis-gendered feline-preferring persons of potentially pre-surgical transgender presentation-if you will, guvna. Now what? Why, Manhattan Transfer (Brad, GET OUT OF MY AUTOCOMPLETE! You’re already well-rooted in my heart, mind, and soul. And yet, and yet: Have our mutually yearning lips EVER met? And yes, I ran away. But did YOU give chase? Yeah. There it is. I’m broken AND broke. You’ve proven you know how to find me. HELP! Now would be the time.

pre-Cheryl Bentyne, that’s Laurel Masse!
I remember this show, their first as a summer replacement for the Cher show. Became a fan from that point forward, almost 50 years now.
We became fans at the same time, Mike. I still remember coming home from riding my bike and watching this.
Me too!❤❤❤❤

Ran across this when I was 11. Tuxedo Junction gave me chills. Loved them ever since. Looking forward to this. Oh, the band is rippin...
Front row, center when they performed in Wenatchee, 2023. Wow.
THhs show was a summer replacement & I saw as much of them as i possibly could. There was such talent, you never knew just what they would sing.

Alan so elegant...and Jon Voight when he was 'sane'.
Jon Voight has always been sane.
Been looking for this for ages. Many thanks for proving it did exist :)
They performed like this every week?? WOW
OMG! Incredible! This is my fab upload since ... I don't know when!
Wow this is so great to see, I had no idea such a show existed

How glamorous was Laurel Masse'? She was the true star of the group.
Fabulous!
Laurel Masse!
More surreal than The Residents.
Personally, the musical director should've been Peter Matz. Those orchestral arrangements seem so like Peter on his days with Carol Burnett.
He also arranged Streisand's first five albums.......
Such talent...today’s music uses so much technology to make the singer sound “decent “.
No wonder people are walking away from today's music. No wonder why there's no artist out there that has "longevity." Time to shut the music industry down... permanently.

Snitches 😆😆😆, that cat is low. I love them 💗 💓 ♥️
On "Gloria", Alan is summoning his JOHN TRAVOLTA alter ego!
it's the other way around. Travolta in Grease was hugely BORROWING and channeling Alan Paul, who WAS in the original Grease, on Broadway.
Indeed, this aired the summer before Welcome Back Kotter hit in September. JT may have picked up more Alan Paul than we realize.
Any idea who that is playing Doug the Duck? I don't see that the actor is credited anywhere
Archie Hahn is the actor. (You might recognize him as the Room Service waiter from This Is Spinal Tap.)
Angelina Jolie was only a few months old.

Sorry but all I can hear is her eyeshadow…😊
Who’s seeding my YT feed? Cleetus have ewe married me yet?
I don’t mean that! This is GOLD!!!!
