  • This video is for those of you who are new to this channel. It's about me, this channel and the public health value of CZcams.
It sets out the focus of this channel and what it hopes to achieve.
Philosophically, this channel’s, about sharing information, knowledge and wisdom about public health - living information, living knowledge and living wisdom.
At a practical level, this channel is about all things public health, a space that will help you to pause, reflect, learn and connect with the ideas, concepts, theories, and practices of public health.
Whether you’re a student and trainee, or just someone with a passing interest. I want to help you to see the world through the lens, the binoculars, the microscope of the field and profession of public health.
Through this channel I want to share my knowledge, skills and curiosity about all things public health. I hope to ignite in you a lifelong interest in public health and, maybe even, to make you excited enough to want to pursue a local and or global career in public health!
I hope you will join me on this journey of learning as we walk across the continent of public health facts, through the valleys of public health knowledge, and climb the mountains of public health wisdom. Remembering it's the journey and not the destination that counts, it's the learning, that will stay with us through the rest of our lives.
Excerpt from 'The Rock', T. S. Eliot, for the poem and some background to it, see leavesandpages.com/2013/01/03...
The endless cycle of idea and action,
    Endless invention, endless experiment,
    Brings knowledge of motion, but not of stillness;
Where is the Life we have lost in living?
Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?
Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?
    Albert Einstein, original quote,
"Knowledge exists in two forms - lifeless, stored in books, and alive, in the consciousness of men. The second form of existence is after all the essential one; the first, indispensable as it may be, occupies only an inferior position." See, quotepark.com/quotes/1015290-... (not found a more interesting source).
Excerpt from 'Little Gidding', T. S. Eliot, poem and audio recording of the poem, see poetryarchive.org/poem/four-q...
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Hi, Bad news, I've checked with e-learning for health and unfortunately there is currently no free access to their resources from outside the UK. You can pay for them through a site called e-integrity but the costs is very high £100 a course (okay for UK bu very high for anyone outside a high income country). e-Integrity is a subscription portal for competitively priced access to our courses which is also available to users outside the UK - www.eintegrity.org/
