Misconception: "ComicsGate doesn't want any politics in comics."
Truth: Stories with political messages are great, when stories come first, the politics are subtle, and all viewpoints are permitted.
We're definitely against using comics as propaganda for social engineering.
Misconception: "ComicsGate is against Variant Covers on comics."
Truth: Variant cover incentive scams from publishers to retailers, (buy 100 copies to get this 1 special variant) are killing comics.
Publishers directly offering fans and collectors more CHOICE is always good.
Misconception: "ComicsGate is against diversity in comics."
Truth: Everyone should be welcomed into this hobby. When comics are excellent, diversity is the natural result.
We're against Forced Diversity, where representation is the primary concern, and story suffers.
Misconception: "ComicsGate wants women out of comics."
Truth: We want activists out of comics, and that includes feminists who don't seem to like comic books, and demand changes of them to suit a bizarre worldview not shared by the majority of fandom.

Variant covers: "Very rarely is someone forced to get something they don't want to get something they do want." (I wouldn't use "forced" because there's always the option to buy nothing.) Yes, it's about having variants available rather than having to buy one in order to be able to buy the other--that the latter variant cover "requires" the prior cover. This is what Ken Rocafordt did on his 1st campaign, making variants B & C available only in bigger packs with the main A cover or the main cover and B variant, respectively . I chalk it up to him not being given memo when he was limosuined into the scene. It was the opposite of what CG was supposed to be about, but the halo effect meant no one could call it out. Those with the big enough names to call it out didn't do their jobs. So, the scene mostly nodded along with whatever the bigger names didn't mention.

For the sake of modernity shouldn't there be cell phones in all historical pieces? Isn't it the same thing? Without the emotion as distraction does any of it make more sense than this?
Now that the woke has fully infected everything except CG, and refused to back down, I think people are starting to come around to seeing that Comicsgate was right. I see people who were hating on CG starting to voice Comicsgate talking points (they still hate cg). they’re scared to give credit to CG or admit that CG was right but we don’t care about getting credit. We want entertainment
This is because everything has gone to complete shit and you don't have to be a conservative to see that.

@@86jpw I was there in GG too. It was absolutely right, but ultimately impotent against the machine it was facing. Still had a positive impact on the counter culture though. Red pilled a lot of people!

I always agreed with most of your points, but the behaviour of Ethan’s CG keeps getting worse and more Sjw like, relentlessly harassing people like Nerdette, calling for pros to be fired etc… and on Evs’ recent stream someone called a black guest a d-head and fa**ot with no censure 😮… is it any wonder you’re accused of bigotry?

People who saw Trump win are still trying to hurt those who voted for and still support him. Comics became political. By the way, where do I buy comics anymore? I can walk down the street and buy movies, music, and video games easily. Where the comics at?
This is just an opinion and its definintely a personal taste type thing but have you considered playing your Painted Death trailer at 1.5 speed? It sounds very good with a slightly faster pace. Give it a listen, im probably wrong but worth a shot. 1.25, 1.5, whatever.
