- Hey guys! Today I am finishing up the project that I started last week. Last week I decided that digging out some of my very old DIY squishies was a good idea lol. I made a "homemade squishy" tutorial a few years ago where I showed how to make squishies from scratch. I ended up getting carried awayy and making SO many of these. SO. I thought it was about time to revisit and finally customize some of the squishies.

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 27 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try LOL).

I think the Swiss Roll was my favourite out of this set of squishies, although they were all very lovely. Now hear me out, as dumb and time consuming it would be, the first heart shaped squishy gave me the idea of boxed chocolates (no I wasn’t thinking about Valentine’s Day) I just thought how cute it would be if you were able to find two heart shaped squishies. One slightly larger, then you kind of carve the top out so it could be the cover and you can open it and inside is painted chocolate. Okay rant idea is over.

The last one looks like a heart-shaped "Gugelhupf" (a kind of cake very popular here in Austria, the baking molds always have a hole in the middle and those riffles. The batter is mostly marbled vanilla and chocolate batter.)
In English we call that style of cake a bundt cake which is actually a brand of cake tin I think? Some people say you can't call it a bundt cake if you make it in a different brand of tin lol, but most people call the cake with ridges and a hole in the middle like that a bundt cake.

I would love to see your spin on doll repainting. It's when you take a doll and use it as a base for a character. And lots of places to add rainbows! I would suggest using a rainbow high doll or a second hand monster high doll ( a cave club doll could also be a option). You could fit this under... Thrift store makeovers if you don't want to create a new series.
I have seen a lot of replies about the history of her not getting along with painting and drawing human faces, as a doll customizer myself. The faces are a lot easier to paint depending on the base and also the face mold. If you want to learn more you can look at other doll artists like Dollightful, Etellan, the doll fairy and so many more. Rainbow high dolls for example, you don't need to paint there eyes because they have inset eyes, you can paint over the factory clothes if your not a fan of sewing. There are so many different options and ways to customize a doll.
