- A total of nine people are facing charges related to a murder-for-hire plot the FBI says wealthy South Florida developer Sergio Pino orchestrated with the intent of having his wife killed.
He got 9 people locked up for this and ended up taking himself out unbelievable

It's not 'her husband's fortune' tho. It's marriage assets. All their wealth was earned during their 30+ yrs of marriage.
Their fortune is estimated at $150 - $350 million, & by Florida law the marriage assets are split 50/50 between the spouses. He's a dick for offering her $20 million, & in the end she'll likely get more as a widow via probate than she would've as an ex-wife via divorce.

Assets are in a trust plus he had a will....and they signed a pre nup years ago. So the estate is now being challenged (I assume NY the wife) to prove whether everything that was done was legit.

Pino was very likely a Trump Supporter. He had a bank called century bank that had deals with Republicans like Marco Rubio. Century Bank have Rubio a loan to buy $500k home a while back when Rubio was starting in politics. That bank went bankrupt and seems like there was something shady there as the bank got investigated but I dunno if anyone was charged. True Crime MTN has a great video on it
