I don't really care much for wallets like this in general. I'd prefer to keep each separate and while I do like minimalist wallets I usually need a bit more than this. That being said I would high highly recommend trying the magbak cases. No other mount solution offers such a great slim mount and has no case bulk. Alternating polarity makes for a super strong hold to the magsticks but the case will still stick to metal surfaces on it's own as well. (Server rack, tool boxes, even car doors). It has never damaged any of my cards, even tried putting them right against the magsticks. It WILL wipe those crappy old hotel key cards flexible but I'm not to worried about that.

I've tried 4 magnetic wallets before settling on the magbak one, it's the best one by a long shot, that slot on the bottom to push your cards out is a way better design than just the thumb hole that most of them have, and the finger loop is so convenient. I will say however that I almost never use the kickstand feature

The wallet is an add on to the magbak system. Magbak system as a solution to mounting your phone is pretty solid, I use the case for my phone and the stache for my iPad both of which stay on my dash with the magnets no problem. I used the Scosche magnet mount system for years but it’s sort of an eye sore on my dash. The magbak magstrips are minimal and non-intrusive, and actually look like they should be on my dash. All that said the wallet is an add on to the system I don’t think that they did a good job marketing it that way and I wouldn’t really carry it as my EDC wallet, but it keeps me from having to mix and match solutions with my phone mount, case, wallet, and finger strap. Totally agree the price point is way outta line too! Just my thoughts.

I personally use this wallet as my everyday go to, along with a MagBak case. It's perfect for me as a driver/commuter. I keep three cards in the card slot, my license, MetroCard and cash in the cash slot - if you spread out your cards instead of cramming them into one side, I'm pretty sure your issues with getting the cash out would be solved. The product probably would've faired better had you experimented with your placement a bit more.

I am a fan of MagBak products. The wallet is just a secondary wallet to me since I can use Apple Pay at most stores. Do we actually need use of every card in our wallet on every day? No. I only need my DL and 1 or 2 other cards. I use the wallet for trips out to dinner or going to work.
I was first drawn to these cases after using the Scoche magnetic system. I loved their mounts but the metal piece you needed on the case killed wireless charging. So I started looking and found MagBak. The cases are nice but I’ve grown tired of the soft touch cases. For my new 13 Pro Max I did order a black case and the Magstache kit so I could make use of a cheap clear case. My wallet has moved from one phone to the other without issue and my car mounts are nearly invisible and work great. I want them to expand the cases they offer, both the material and the designs.

Here are my thoughts. I have had the MagBak wallet since it first released and I've carried it on my iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 11 and now my iPhone 12. All it takes is the new case for the new phone (which I'd be buying anyway) and the wallet stays the same. I switched from using a Silk wallet case, which I'd used on all my phones for several years, to the MagBak with the iPhone X because I wasn't happy with having to remove my cards from my Silk case every night to use the Qi charger. I had the same reaction to the MagBak prices that you had but after looking at all of the options I decided that as a long term wallet I could live with it. I do think that 1Lss overprices all of their products pretty heavily and I wish they'd modify their pricing but it's clear that they think they've got a premium product. That's the biggest problem, it isn't a premium quality product. I've had multiple cases show up from them with issues, most recently the iPhone 12 Pro case which doesn't even fit the phone properly. My wallet has also had quality issues with the edging peeling off and exposing the steel plates underneath. They did replace the wallet and they have always replaced the cases that have had issues but it's still a mark against them that those issues were there in the first place in my book, especially at the prices that they charge.
Now, as for the wallet itself. Yes, it does start out tight but it'll stretch out over time. I typically carry four cards and a single bill folded in 1/3rds in mine. I don't try to insert or remove the cash with the cards in place, I always take the cards out because that seemed to me to be the right way to do it. I guess you don't like that but I don't see it as an issue at all. Actually, I think I've only used the cash that's in it once and then replaced it because for me cash is only an emergency backup, I'm using Apple Pay or a physical card 99.9% of the time. My wife has a MagBak wallet as well and she carries 6 cards in it. She hasn't had any issues with her wallet at all. I had to pop one row of the stitching to get the finger loop to the right size but I use that loop every day all day long when I'm using my phone. As the iPhone grew larger and larger I started to actually get joint pain in my pinky finger from holding the bottom of the phone with it and that loop has saved my pinky. The size of the wallet on the back of the phone is a nonissue for me and it is easily removable and can go back in my pocket if I need it to. Using it as a stand is useful but also flawed, the wallet is so thin that it doesn't grip a table surface well so I have a hard time getting it to stand up very well. If that feature worked better I'd use it a LOT more. Overall I'm happy with the MagBak wallet, I just wish it's pricing and quality would justify each other.
I also have a set of the MagStache/MagStrips which I used on an Olloclip case for a while so that I could use a lens system on my iPhone X and XS. These stick-on magnetic strips fulfill their intended function but they are not a long term solution. Over time the adhesive weakens and the strips start to slide around and eventually peel off of the surface that they're stuck to. In the process they create a sticky, gooey mess. That wasn't fun but thankfully the sports season ended and I didn't need the lenses anymore so I switched back to the MagBak case. The MagStache is a waste in my opinion. They should just sell the strips in a four pack and ditch the stupid and ugly mustache version entirely. The MagSticks that they provide for mounting in the car or on other surfaces sound like a good idea and are of much higher quality than the MagStrips, I've only ever used one of them though. I'm not one to stick things on my car's dashboard, that hurts resale value and there's not really any good spot anyway. I actually do have one stuck on the wall in the shower though and it makes a nice spot for my phone to sit high and dry and play some music.
So, I do like MagBak's phone cases and wallet but they aren't perfect and they are certainly overpriced. I think that at $25 for the case and $30 for the wallet they'd be a good value, especially considering the quality of the products. I've bought in to their ecosystem though so I'm likely to continue with them at least until the wallet falls apart completely (which doesn't seem like it will be any time soon). Having said that, the debacle with their iPhone 12 cases has me currently using an Apple MagSafe case and MagSafe wallet. The quality of Apple's accessories is phenomenal. The functionality of the wallet however I find lacking having grown accustomed to my MagBak. There's no finger loop, the wallet slides off of the phone far too easily and yet is harder to take off on purpose because it's back hugs the phone more closely. The wallet is also extremely small, only big enough to fit three cards and no cash. I'm also finding that Apple's silicone is much grippier than the finish on the MagBak cases which makes it harder to get my phone in and out of my pockets. I'm looking forward to MagBak fixing their iPhone 12 case so that I can get back into the MagBak wallet.

As a leatherworker, I think your opinions aren't that developed.
    1. You fit in too many cards into that small spot. Five cards are stretching it already. I make the similar card wallet and I wouldn't slot in beyond 6 cards. The reason it can only fit in fewer card is because of the bulk. Do you like to hold use a phone that feels like two phones? Do you like you to feel taking a brick from your pocket when you wanna use your phone?
    2. The standing feature is actually useful for many people, may be just not for you. I often find people finding something to rest the phone on a slanting position, such as a glass or box. The wallet has a multi-purpose use to it.
    3. It's detachable. There are other phone case designs that has card slots. Do you know how bulky they are, even without cards? You can't remove the card slots with those phone cases. This card holder gives you the option to detach it when you don't want to hold a brick for a phone.

I have developed a counter argument to your opinions. If that is all you have to say, then I'll just leave as it is.

This is the most bullshit review lol. The Apple Wallet also needs time to wear in to be used properly. Didn’t notice you mention that at all. It doesn’t take a month for the magbak wallet to break in to the point where it’s nice and smooth. You can even slide a tracker into the cash slot and have room for 6 cards instead of the measly 3 apple gives you. Apple wallets are also notorious for ripping apart in 6 months.

@@ChrispyThings Their "expensive" magnet cases? You mean the ones with 6 different magnet locations? They're a whopping $4 more than Apple's $3 china cases. Man I wish I had seen this 9 months ago. It holds 3x more cards than Apple's. It doesn't rotate around the magsafe ring like Apple's because they were smart enough to add a second stabilizing magnet at the bottom. The magnet INSIDE THE WALLET is also strong enough to stick your phone with the wallet attached directly to any metal surface, no sticky magnets required. Doesn't look like you even paid attention to the bullshit you were spouting. And nah, don't work for magbak, sorry. I do build rockets though. I've got shoes worth more than this channel.

The whine about removing the wallet form the phone is so absurd. It is simple to remove and reattach!
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so I’ll grant you that. Anyhow…by this wallet is the best I have used - compared to 4 others. It isn’t designed to replace a bifold wallet. The purpose is minimalistic. Don’t try to make it something it isn’t!!
