I Spent $600 on MagSafe Wallets. Here's My Top 5!

- So what's the best tiny card holder to go with your MagSafe iPhone 12 or iPhone 13? I've been using a variety of them over the last couple of years and my consistent goto is the PopWallet+. It's such a useful product.
If you're looking for massive card capacity with a finger loop, go no further than the MagBak wallet. If you get the case, you'll be able to use that product as a stand as well.
The Peak Design Stand Wallet is quite new and is basically a card backpack for your iPhone. It's the highest capacity wallet that I've come across.

How did I test/score each wallet?
-Card Capacity-
Basically jamming as many cards as I can into the wallet and still be able to use them. These MagSafe Wallet's aren't meant to be a complete wallet replacement. I'm personally not sure I'd want to shove all my credit cards into the Peak wallet as it will come off if you're not careful.
-Pull Force-
We stuck a 3M Command Strip and hook and measured how much force it took to pull the wallet off vertically. Certain manufacturers use this is a measure thought I'm not entirely convinced this is the best metric for magnetic strength.
-Drop Height-
Basically measured how high I could drop wallet with a bare iPhone onto the floor. Most wallets came off at a height of 6.5 cm....
-Stand Features-
Products like the Moft, Peak and PopWallet allow you to prop up your device. It's a great feature. Some even offer elevated landscape mode's which is great as well.
-Other Extras-
Basically anything extra like FindMy on the Apple Leather Wallet or the actually PopSocket on the PopWallet would have an effect on the final score.

Great notes! Glad to see the Peak Design stuff finally showing up eh. On that wallet, I believe if you pull up on the cover tab, it pulls all the cards up out of the wallet to make it easier to grab them. Or at least that’s what some of the early kickstarter videos showed.
Anyone concerned about the strength of the magnet should remember that adding a case SIGNIFICANTLY changes how much it takes to remove a MagSafe accessory. You definitely want a case with the MagSafe ring in it and the gripper the case surface, the better.
I love apple’s silicone cases, so I have had no problems with the few MagSafe wallets I have tried.
But why you want your wallet out in the element with your phone and not put it in your safe pocket?
@@NetvoTV well for me, I’ve lost my wallet multiple times from it falling out of my pocket. Plus, most of my clothes don’t have any safe pockets because I am for comfort which means that there’s a higher risk of it slipping out of my pocket
You should know that the iPhone itself and The Apple Case just have a metal ring with very weak magnetic pull. The strength is all in the Magsafe Accesorry itself. Popsocket Brand has very strong magnets. Whether you use Apple Case or No Case, it will be the same. However. Non apple cases might have different magnetic pull inside the case affecting the strength on accessory.
Love the part 0:10-0:23. Serious cinematography without taking yourself too seriously. Love it. Videos look great and your personality comes through. Myself I love my apple wallet.

I think to test pull force, you should put the hook exactly in the center of the MagSafe ring, to not get any lever effect that might impact your measurements
Been loving my Peak Design wallet, but I do wish it stayed on a little stronger. The kickstand is simply the BEST, which is the most useful feature I'm looking for in this accessory category. Great reviews as always!

Thanks for the crazy work! Just ordered the peak design, but slim wallet since I don’t need the stand function and will probably prefer the less bulk. Will hope that stays on a little better because less weight but I do like the design of it.

I really enjoy your videos and when I need to buy a phone case, you’re the first place I check the cases.
When I bought my Samsung S20+ I needed a case with a stand. So, I took a chance and bought a Schnail case (had it even delivered from USA to Europe as there are not sold in Europe). Now after one year, I’m still comparing it with other cases and I cannot believe how good it is. (The model I bought is a Schnail Titan case)
When and if you have time, I would be curious what would be your take on a Schnail Titan case.

😎 FINALLY someone did a video about MagSafe wallets. THANK YOU!!! I do think, however, the MOFT wallet to be the best because of its versatility as a stand and how strong its magnets are. I have used it on the iPhone 12 Pro and now on my 13 Pro with great success.

I really wanted to love the Pop Socket Wallet. It performed as reviewed here BUT, it left a residue behind on my Spigen clear case every single time.
I have most of those wallets but my favorite is the Pad & Quill Luxury Book that I have been using since the iPhone 6 Plus. Have you ever reviewed one? They make a MagSafe very for the iPhone 13 now.

The Popsocket+ Magsafe Wallet is the best, the magnet is stronger than Apple’s own plus it can fit four to five cards. I have had mine for over a year and no issues with cards coming out randomly.

You should check out the distil union Wally junior. It’s only feature is a 3-4 card wallet with a pull tab. But the leather and quality is impeccable. Also what case do you use on your iPhone day to day?

I love my popsocket MagSafe wallet. I have 6 cards and a little paper note folded in half. At one point I had 7 cards. The magnet is so strong you need to rip it off. I have a 13 mini with a leather Apple MagSafe case.
I got the pop wallet, it really is an amazing product! It's suuuper secure paired with my magsafe casetify case.

The Bellroy case is my clear no1. Outstanding material. Most sticky wallet including kickstand. The Pitaka MagEz Pro is my number 2. Al the rest ist really far behind. Can’t wait to have your comments on that.
I like a mag wallet that has actual covers because I've noticed that exposed edges of the cards starts to peel off. Now I'm using bellroy with built in 3 card wallet
I’ve found the wallet cases to be more practical than these things. Lighter, less bulky, not gonna fall off or get misplaced. If they built real Find My into one of these it’d be a different story
This is how I feel as well! Unfortunately it means missing out on the cool benefits like MagSafe battery pack & car holder.
When the 13 pro max costs me over $1k I just CANNOT bring myself to trust a magnetic finger grip or wallet.…ended up going w/ my long-favored combo: wallet case + finger loop from ‘Smartish.

I have questions about the magnetic wallets with a case. I just got a Ghostek Nautical case, in preparation to upgrade my phone soon. I’ve been using a Magbak case and wallet on my XS Max. Long story short, it didn’t protect my phone screen in a recent drop, so I’m now choosing a different case. I love the convenience of the magnetic case, but I’ve verified that my Magbak wallet does not stick to the Ghostek case. Ideas? Id love to have a loop on my wallet.

I didn’t see a video for this but what about the best matte glass screen protector for the iPhone 13? I’d be interest in possibly seeing which ones give more of a haze effect vs not. I bought one and while it’s great, I feel as if it hazes the screen a bit to much in bright conditions and forces me to turn my screen ALL the way up no matter what.

Are you using it on pro max or just pro in the video. I want to buy a pop wallet but I’m afraid my 13 pro’s camera is too big. I photoshopped the back of iPhone 13 pro with the wallet and the wallet is hitting the camera rim (with the casetify case on) pop wallet might not align with the magsafe correctly. Or I won’t be able to get a card out since there wouldn’t be space left. So would the popwallet work with iPhone 13 pro with casetify case?

So many details! I only wish you (and other CZcamsrs) would tell me which ones are RFID blocking.
I think the CZcams didn't fully understand the function of the peak design wallet. The tab that folds over to close the wallet can be pulled in the upward direction and pulls all the cards upwards out of the wallet.

Thanks for your videos!!’ I have had my MagBak case and wallet since Christmas 2020 and have loved both. My case is getting grubby and wallet is stretched (cards fell out the other day when I had I fewer than usual. I noticed that the wallet no longer sticks to the back of my phone 12 pro max when case is removed. It’s really odd, it just slides off. Wondering if anyone else has had issues! I found the Bellroy case that I ordered as a replacement is also very weak. Could having the stronger magnets near my iPhone for almost 18 months have affected MagSafe (charger still works as normal. Any comments, suggestions appreciated.

ya know what we need? well do you remember that super grippy reusable rubber stuff that spigen mag fit and other stands use? ya that stuff, we need it on the back of these card holders. i think that would go a long way in keeping it where it should be.
i use a "Xien" magsafe wallet. it look like the moft one but it is wayyyyy smoother and stronger than moft. plus it doesnt have sharp edges. but i cant seems to find it online that easily but yes they do exist.

As much as I would have liked to recommend the Magbak wallet, it just didn't hold up to expectations. The wallets tend to split down the sides along the edge, causing the wallet to crack and split apart. I had two of them do this in the same places. The wallets also tend to discolor extremely easily if you buy a lighter color such as brown. The authentic apple wallets though... those have been a fantastic buy since day one.
