  • Pickle Fork Shooter (PFS) is a compact slingshot type that fits in the pocket nicely and a fun process to learn and practice. Some may say it's not easy. It depends. I thought I share the information I picked up since I shoot this type of slingshot.
    IMPORTANT for beginners!
    Please wear proper eye protection. Start with light bands (Thera Band Black for e.g.) and light ammo (Wasp, chickpea, aluminum foil balls). No matter how good shooter you are. PFS is not forgiving if you make a mistake. pay attention and progress slowly.

I'm in the development of new designs and working on updates, but have to get over every day tasks before standing behind the bench again. Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice week!

    Nice video Mark.
    Very informative. I use this technique for numerous years now, and not only for pfs, i use it for ott slingshot, and now, for ttf frame. I am so used to it that i tweak the pouch now with à cheek anchor. It solve fork hit problem for me, they never happen any more. I will recieve one of your ms hunter from proshot next week, can't wait to test it with serious band sets.
    Best regards

    What's the reason for the PFS design? Does it shoot better than the traditional fork sling shot?

    • @markseljan
      @markseljan  Před 6 lety

      deltafour1212 Hi and thanks for the question! PFS is a small and compact design, that can teach a lot of techniques. Many of the shooters enjoy to learn new skill and styles just for fun or improve speed and or accuracy. PFS is not better than a standard frame, but emphasises attention for the shooting movements and that is not just challenging, but very useful to evolve in the sport.

  • @waldkauz7895
    @waldkauz7895 Před rokem +1

    Can one attach ttf bands pretwisted? Or do you need normal ott bandsets and Twist them to get that upward Effect? Ofc the tweak is always necessary.

    • @markseljan
      @markseljan  Před rokem +1

      Hi Waldkauz, You can attach pre twisted TTF, but that is not as good for PFS as it is for standard OTT frames imo. The twist affects the direction of the release. The pouch will travel along and over the thumb. This slight movement can also help. Some shooters dont even tweak, since they use the twist and timing their movments. Usually if you have a longer draw than face anchor you can flick the slingshot on purpose (or it happens naturally) to clear the way for the ammo. Once you have a process that works safely you can experiment a bit for sure.

    What is the best size of ammo for pfs?thanks for the very informative video.

    • @markseljan
      @markseljan  Před 4 lety

      Hello Dennis, 8mm is a great size for starting, but you can go really up with tubes and protectors. Marbles can do well with a shorter draw and upward hold too. I like to use older, stretched leather pouches.
