Thanks for reminding me why I usually just stay on the ship when docked in Mexico. I usually sit on the top deck sipping a cool drink while watching the "Bataan Death March" trudging back to the ship who are sweaty and sunburned up the 100 yard plus wharves.
Good morning Sharon and family, the Thalassotherapy is the main reason The breeze is my favorite ship. I get the package everyone I go on her or the two sister ships. I go every morning and evening. I have been on her 11 times. She is my relaxation cruise.

I like the windows around the spa pool. NCL's spa pools are dark and away from windows
Brother we were on this same cruise with you. I saw you a few times and kept thinking "DAMN this dude looks familiar!!!" lol Had I put it together I would've said hello... We love the thalassotherapy pool on the Breeze as well but we didn't do it this time as we had an extended aft view cabin on the opposite side of the ship. We did a side by side and went on the Vista right after this cruise and they had a MUCH smaller pool in the spa that was just a whirlpool. Very disappointing actually being we had a spa balcony stateroom for that trip. Last time we went to Costa Maya we rented a golf cart and had lunch on the beach out there as well. This last time we went to Don Lolo in port and had some good tacos.

I’ll be on the Breeze in April in a Spa Balcony. The thalassotherapy looks so relaxing. I’ve enjoyed watching your videos of this cruise. I’ll be trying to eat healthy as well so I appreciate your tips on that.
It's built way up there. I did a glass bottom kayak excursion years ago.
Great idea for the golf cart!
There’s a great restaurant there that has swings outside and the beach. The food and drinks and beach amazing.
My favorite of all the ports in the Caribbean. Just need to go and do things the cruise lines do not tell you about.

Thank you for honest review. It is what it is. We went next door, not even sure of the name. The food was good but not the average American size order of chips with salsa had 5 chips lol. They got us on the drinks. Also a “3” on the margarita scale & $16 USD each. We had 2 a piece & $8 bottles of water! ?? Serious sticker shock. Will not return for food/drink in that area, fun shopping though. Stay safe y’all big love from east TN! Sharon I hope you get the perfect ‘Rita soon! xo

Thanks guys, great video. In January 2023, my plan was Krazy lobster. Maybe with a group it'll be more fun? In the meantime I'll see what other options there are. I didn't get off the ship last time I was there and regretted it.
LOVE the review of a port restaurant that is honest.. most travel/cruise vlog rant and rave about the great restaurants that actuall are terrible.. Alaska cruises especially
I agree not my favorite port. We did have fun and great service when we went in April, but the smell on the island - even when we were on the ship around 5 am you could SMELL the seaweed. It was so bad! I like the way Jaime stated it. LOL. And the people do drive crazy there! Thanks for the great drone footage!
Oh, how wonderful you enjoyed the thalassotherapy pool! I've had to say that many times to get it right! It's my favorite one on Carnival cruiselines - on the Dream-class ships!

We just did a deal for food drinks and Beach in Costa Maya and it was lovely. We took a taxi there and a fisherman was pulled up on the beach and it was just such a pretty little not busy area.

We have the sand ports for a cruise we have booked for March(on the Dream) and are doing a cruise in Sept on the Breeze, so great to see both
I was hoping for a great review of the town, each time I have been to Costa Maya I never leave the port. We have the same agenda in 2 weeks

We went to Costa Maya on June. And yes I was very disappointed of the little trip to Mahahual..we started bad in the morning the wind was very strong and raining I got sea sick 😭, we got of the ship and took a taxi the guy took us to a restaurant we didn't ask for, we just wanted to go to the light house walk around a little and find a good place to eat. yes, next time we will stay at the swimming pool and bar right there at the port.
This brings back great memories from our cruise on the Dream in May. The Chunky Monkey was even farther down that road past those main buildings. The off putting seaweed smell was really bad in May.

We had heard good things..like we said in the video, another day and time and maybe it's an awesome experience!! Hope you enjoy it!!!
We went in April. Not my fav. port, but we met some great people at the Krazy Lobster. The drinks and the food were really good. Had an hour long massage for $20. At the end the service was a bit slow, but not bad. The water there was prob. the best we saw that day, but we didn't get in, it didn't look great, but it didn't smell bad. If you go further down the smell is so bad is literally smells like an open sewage system and the seaweed is all you can see. Maybe they just had a bad day. Hope you have a great trip
Bummer about your visit to Krazy Lobster. We went to Tropicante just down the road a bit and loved it but there was only 1 ship (the Vista) in port that day. KL is definitely the busiest of all the beach clubs from what we saw.
We did a golf cart in Costa Maya and had a blast!
Oh! Bummer! You did hit Crazy Lobster on an off day! Our routine is a taxi ($4 a person each way) I get a massage (1hour for $20 +$10 tip) Doug orders our margaritas, guac. and steak street tacos. Please give Crazy Lobster (or one of the other adjacent venues) another try!

Krazy lobster is not good food. I was in Mahahual for the last 7 months. My ex girlfriend had a massage table at Krazy lobster. I ate there many times..average at best day. Bad on an off day. Only one small kitchen for all the tables out there...
This has me wondering if maybe we should just stay at the port during our next cruise there; not sure that we need to rent a golf cart there...so disappointing that you got such bad service at the Crazy Lobster! Are you going to give it another try on the vlogger's cruise? I sure wish that they had space available at Mayachan but that will have to be another time as well. Much love - Nancy & Anthony

Krazy lobster has 2 price menus, so you know, you will be paying up to 5-6 dollars USD more for the same item than if you pay off the Spanish menu in pesos. They really rip tourists off.
That was a scary golf cart ride!
You are a brave man flying your from in Mexico as they are not allowed to be flown by Non citizens
We have yet to find a place we love to visit in Costa Maya. Pretty port, but no great beach clubs that we have found.
Scott - have you been to Maya chan? I have been recommended this place, but haven't been able to get there yet.
@@NauticalNurseNancy ohhh that one looks pretty good! Haven’t tried it, but the beach looks cleaner and the facility looks pretty nice! We cruise on the Prima next year there so will be a great option!

For the golf cart, do you get a map of where to go. How do you lock up the cart when you are not around.
They give you a map, but research the are before you go as well. You just take the key out and don't leave anything in the cart.
I thought Carnival wasn’t allowing any drones on the ship now.
That's what I thought
They announced no more drones, then changed it shortly after. Most smaller drones will go unnoticed regardless..its the larger ones that don't fold up that stand out more.
Do tell, how do you get the special towel animal treatement? My last several cruises I told the steward how much I love them... but still i get the typical 1 per day normal towel animal. I want a menagerie, or at least something different ;) Did you tip ahead of time, or is it because Sharon is Sharon ;) ?
What is included in a day pass at the spa? I would love to purchase one for my parents on our next family cruise.
The thalassotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, some ships have a salt room, heated loungers are a few included items included.
You missed the best place, La Chilangaloense. Krazy Lobster is usually ok but not great.
Hi Sharon and Jamie, did you pre purchase the spa pass or purchase on board? If u purchased on board whatbwas the cost? I'm getting on the magic and contemplating which way to go, pre purchase or wait. Thanks in advance!
That's a tough call. Ours on this cruise was a gift, so we don't want to quote the wrong price. You could wait till onboard to see if there is a port day special, but sometimes the passes can sell out quickly. If it is very important to your cruise experience, maybe purchase ahead of time to make sure you get the pass. Thanks for watching!!!
Subscribed! Great video and awesome drone shots! We are renting a golf cart in Costa Maya next week. Did you have trouble when returning the cart? I've read on some message boards that the cart company has held your sail & sign card for more money or a larger tip?
No issues like that at all. They held one sail and sign card..no issues when returning the cart. I think we gave a 5.00 tip.

I'm going to say no. Our paperwork stated we were financially responsible for the cart and as far as medical coverage, you are on your own . Thanks for watching!!!

Did you find Costa Maya pretty safe to tour around in a golf cart for 2 ladies?
Safety wasn't an issue. We had no concerns at all. Just be aware of your surroundings and don't flash and cash. Thanks for watching!!!

Do they take your drone away and you get it when you get off or you store it in your room?
No..I think when it's small and folds up even smaller, it goes unnoticed, but if that were to happen, we wouldn't have an issue...thanks for watching!!

US Dollars are easily used. Just be aware of current exchange rates.

Do you have to have reservations to krazy lobster? Going in May!
No reservation needed (and I don't see an option to make them on their website either). It's first come first serve, so get there as early as you can.
If they are overly crowded consider walking future down the beach. There is an area that is not as congested.

Ah. Hate to say but this is the best port to me. Just need to know what it is you want.
@@larrym7442 a clean beach,no smelly seaweed, not pay ship prices for beer and drinks, dolphins that have larger than my swimming pool to live in, taxi rates that are published. locals pay $2 cruise passengers pay $8. one menu, english menu prices are twice as high as spanish menu. when they closed lost kingdom water park, it pretty much shot this port in the foot. paradise beach club in cozumel or the free public beach in Mahogany bay is 100x better than this place. stay on the ship and relax.
I spent the last 7 months in Mahahual. Krazy lobster is not good food...nothing really exceptional in Mahahual food wise. Yes the sargazo seaweed is a huge problem. Krazy lobster does have one of the cleanest beaches though. I did my share of cleaning the seaweed there, as my ex girlfriend has a massage table at Krazy lobster, do I cleaned her area.
