sounds good pal....I uninstalled FIFA on Friday for the first time ever since i started playing in 2008 and I don't intend on re-installing it. Its took me a while, but I realised I just don't enjoy playing it anymore. I been playing Elden ring and helldivers 2 and its not even a question that both of these games are way better, its time for us all to play better games in my opinion.

I wouldn't take this email seriously. I'm a developer in another area and most of the problems he mentioned are problems in any software environment.
Hire a qualified team, a qualified team does gatekeeping to the point that only they understand the code base well. Qualified team gradually leaves, an outsourced company comes in to deal with the code base. Top-down decisions that focus only on revenue and not necessarily on product quality.
If you talk to any programmer they will say they have worked in a place like this. So it wouldn't be anything new for EA to do this, but it would also be very easy to forge a false statement.
In any case, I'm happy for Nick and I think this will be good for his community too. The vast majority of people are here because of his personality, it's interesting to see him playing other games.
Hey Nick, I appreciate what you’re doing because I have been feeling this way about FIFA since I quit last year, you’re the only reason why I kinda keep up with content and unless you sit with the people with big influence and strategically make a movement to take a swing at EA you’re basically fighting against the air, the truth is your work is tied to a community that is against your principles, I went through something similar when I was trying to help my friends quit weed altogether by yourself, I respect you using your influence to take a swing at EA because that’s why we go to work for, to take a stand for whats right but unless you’re able to take the mafia down (EA) you’ll end up depressed whilst playing FIFA to earn money, I hope you get to make the difference but if you dont, I suggest you change a lane to another game that’s friendlier with good codes, you’ll be smaller but happier.

I bet EA will anticipate people revolting against purchasing FIFA points. So they will adapt and make there an option to purchase the elite version of next game with 12k FIFA points instead of the traditional 4.6k points and they factor the price of the extra points into total cost of purchasing the game. And everyone will be willing to pay because that is the only way to get the game a week early as soon as possible.

We had a change in government, a socialist is a minister of IT things, so maybe I will be able to do something. Right now, zero answer, but i will keep trying. I want to ban FC points just like they did in Belgium. No more microtransactions in games. This ...g shit killed gaming. Games were fun. Grind and finishing a game brought joy. And I play since 1989. This EA situation is very nicely shown in "Ready Player One" Spielberg movie.
@@mattsong7149 As a Belgian fifa player, I can assure you I've made the mistake of buying fifa points in the past. But for one time, our government did something good by disabling the option to buy fifa points. My fifa experiences are all RTG's now and EA have done a kinda great job in making it easy to get free cards so it's fine in that aspect.

Fair proposal tbh I'm shocked more people weren't more open minded to at least discuss your ideas. I agree with everything you've said, and I suggest all of us protesting to play FIFA 23 instead. Why?
1) we boycott this FC 24 cr*p game
2) we still play a game that is football and miles better than this game on both consoles and PC
3) most of us have top tier very end game cards
4) it will be fun as there is no chase up for rewards, its competing for fun, winning isn't a priority anymore
5) and most importantly, get kids less addicted to surprise mechanics (scientifically speaking, we need 21 to 42 days to break the habit and replace it with a better one)
6) it would ring the EA's bell for sure, and incur them drops on projected revenue and profit
7) bonus reason: it's FIFA franchise, FIFA 23, so it might wake some employees at EA who have a little bit of leftover conscious.

Trust me guys when I say this, and no flex intended, I can afford to buy fifa point and other in-game content on a weekly basis, BUT what's the point? A) it's not good value for money. B) it's a scam for most of the time. C) the gameplay is bad anyways even if you have the best cards that are available out there. D) the game should make all cards available either for spending time and efforts, or maybe a bit of money, but just to accelerate the process a bit, not to pass the entire "queue"...
These greedy EA stakeholders seem like sucking up every bit of blood of us, the fans of the most famous sport game on earth. As someone who’s watched nick since 17, YOU CANNOT LOSE THIS VOICE. I’ve seen it all. The streamers coming and going, the hacking. Everything. Nick has stood through THAT MUCH BS. If you lose nick you not only lose a non bias streamer which is SUPER rare these days, but also someone who’s not afraid to voice his opinion, which is usually very well aligned with the player base/audience. Nick hadn’t let fame etc get to his head, therefore he has a very normalised outlook on current situations. You can’t lose this man, and from what I just heard, it’s a matter of a year or 2 before either nick leaves or EA changes. And good lord I hope it’s EA changes.

i agree. i quit the game back in october but here and there i enjoy watching nick play fifa even though i dont play anymore. this video is one of the reasons he is my favorite fifa content creator.
fr, I stopped playing all the way back in December and decided to come back this weekend. I quickly realised why I stopped playing. multiple tots packs and no players over 150k (no money spent from me) and multiple other seemingly good packs with terrible players again. just gonna go back to fm, rocket league, topspin, etc.
I did exactly that about two years ago now, take the plunge and not buy the game, it's so worth it
the problem with ea is that the degens that keep buying these overpriced store packs means that their worries about profts and money loss is slim. they couldn't give a shit about the gameplay as long as the kids with the moms credit cards keeps buying these shitty gambling packs.
The problem are the Fifa Whales. People who spend thousands or more of dollars everyday… they not really care about people who spend 10-50 dollar in the month.

Truth be told, at first I was angry with Belgian authorities for restricting purchases on E.A. games in my country. However, the current trend of microtransactions is not only a problem with E.A. its a trend that is destroying the gaming community in general. The introduction of battle passes and microtransactions made sure that AAA studio’s are more intrested in making money than making a Good game. I really think that is why games like Helldivers 2 by a indie studio was so popular. People want a Good game but the companies that can provide are more focussed on stealing every single penny possible. E.A. Will not change Because of their shareholders, but you can take action through different means. Never thought I’d say this but It might be time other countries follow the example of Belgian Authorities.

The EA Employees sounds legit, I work for a massive Tech company who are a 3rd party vendor for a massive Tech company (Not EA) and every bit of it is familiar from the company we are contracted to and the company I directly work for, the knowledge gap being created is scary it often feels like the company is actively trying to get rid of experienced staff as they're too expensive.

Quality is a bespoke characteristic these days. The bigger a company grows, the more it becomes quantity over quality and service. Saw it at my previous workplace after the company I worked for was acquired by a larger firm - the attention to detail and customer service went straight out the window.
I respect your stance, you’re speaking nothing but facts. I have the utmost respect for you using your platform to try and help and support others that love football but are so disillusioned by EA and FIFA.
The community has become so toxic in its competitive nature that if you stop buying points, people will just see it as a leg up on the rest of the player base, carrying on their normal point buying behaviour. If it’s available, people will buy it and in abundance when they’re a player short on an SBC or need a player for an objective.
I started to question my relationship with FIFA when i started to notice that people had a full icon XI before i even got a single icon organically.
You used to be able to field a team of players you liked and be competitive but now gameplay is so tragic and sweaty that there’s no fun in the challenge.
So many problems with this game and EA overall.

As an watcher, but also an person tryna understand everybody’s point. I would like to see this like a normal demonstration, it doesn’t start with one person but with a bigger known group, under one banner, that people know. That way the idea of when a goes away b takes over doesn’t work. Because not only a b and c go away no a to maybe m or even more go stop with a lot of the watchers aswell or atleast stand behind them , that way their is actually a bigger group of people behind the same cause. Not sure you will see this but I'm going to write some ideas and thoughts that I've had about EA, EAFC, and the last few years of Fifa.
I personally think that this game is addictive and that most of the player base that is still around would be described as gaming addicts or gambling addicts. Addiction is a complicated subject but in general it stems from negative feelings. When addicts feel negative they turn to whatever they are addicted to to either numb the way they feel or change the way they feel. In Fifa the drug is packs and packing good players. Fifa is such an interesting game because it causes negative feelings and also offers an easy way out through spending real money. Similar to how the low after a drug high just makes you want to use more. This may be a controversial take but I believe EA keeps the infuriating aspects of the game around in order to tap in to peoples addictions. If the game is fun than that will be a high by itself, so why would you need to spend extra money? If the game is infuriating and inconsistent than you have to turn elsewhere to get your high. The high of this game has turned from fun to gambling. That is the truth and thats all that it is.
I feel for you a lot honestly. I started with FIFA 10 and loved playing with my friends. I played my first ultimate team in 12 just to try it out and packed gold neymar who was like a 84 rated but an absolute god. Those were the days. Anyway on some level I want to tell you to just let it go. I almost see it as you going into the slot rooms of a casino and looking at all the decrepit old folks wasting their retirements on slots and trying to organize a rebellion. In all honesty I think most of the people who are smart enough to follow you abandoned this game a long time ago. In my opinion, changing this game from this inside is a bleak proposition. I just dont see it happening and I think EA and this game in particular have dug their own grave and will reap what theyve sown, eventually. However, I do think there are still mechanisms and levers of change that exist outside of EA and this community that could make an impact. These things still obviously take community effort and no one can do it alone but I also am sure that you have connections and more sway than most people.
I personally find it shocking that so much of what we try to say and do surrounding changing this game is directed at EA. In my opinion they are completely unsaveable and unreachable. I think we would be better suited directing our frustrations and wishes for change elsewhere. I think the biggest deal with any sports game is licensing. EA has all of that locked up tight. They lost FIFA which is either promising or scary depending on your viewpoint but they have almost every team in all of the major leagues. Why dont we start going after them? EA might not give a shit about kids gambling but I bet the premier league or their teams might feel that pressure differently. Everyone in gaming hates EA including the people who play their games. Their reputation literally cannot get any lower. Why are teams and world football allowing this to happen? If EAFC lost its licensing to big teams it would be a huge wake up call. To be honest im not sure UEFA is any better given their shady ass history but its a different avenue that could be looked into.
Obviously government is something too. I firmly believe that EA will have their day in court but why not encourage players to contact their local representative and urge them to look into it? Mainly what Im trying to say is that I think its time to stop trying to make EA change because of us, their loyal consumers. I think its time to apply pressure elsewhere. Why arent there social media campaigns directed at the ICONS of this game shaming them for accepting a bag from this shit company? Seriously this shit should be out there way more. EA needs pressure from sources it actually respects and/or fears because clearly its playerbase is not among them. Content creators are a part of the puzzle but y'all are downstream. We need to go upstream to impact these fuckers. I mean imagine the impact if a major league or a team like Madrid or some of the major icons took their hats out of the ring? As far as im concerned them taking any money to be included in this game is unethical and amoral so why not bring that to light?

I played fifa 15, when fifa 16 came out I still was stuck to fifa 15 thats how much i loved that game, now for past 3 years, since fifa 22, I stop playing the game cause it is litterally impossible to play free to play and casually, in october i start to lose any motivation for the game when i see certain content creators buy 1203300 fp and have the best possible gold/totw squad, its just killing the hype for the game where you build anything.

Logged into champs this morning for the first time this weekend. Was winning both in the 2nd half and got a DNF for both. Closed the game and don't plan on picking it back up. So frustrating

You could have done the week of Ultimate TOTS where you privately ask some of the top EAFC creators all play different games together (non-EA) each day. It could be a big event and take eyes from EAFC on one of their biggest pack selling weeks.

I don't remember when, but when fifa transitioned from ps3 to 4 and the same on XBOX platforms, it was so bad, a small group of creators said, "Yeah, that's shit, we go play pes." That small group of creators became the Sidemen. And we owe the golden era of fifa for them. There is a chance for the better, but there needs to be unity! EA needs to break again, to have something new built on the ashes of this horrendous game. You are doing the right thing Nick. Just keep up!

I still have like 15 untradeable players on my candidate list that i cant discard or store in my club….for half a year now… companion app is still not working in soooooo many different areas and it doesn’t get fixed…. You even get banned for doing sbcs on the app or bidding on players, which is wild as its a part of the game and you even have to basically do a lot of sbcs as packweight is terrible and some cards arent even ln the market because of weird priceranges… SBC prices are so weird, especially for gamble packs, hero picks etc because the weight is awful. Now theres like 35 ligue tots cards…. Packed about 8 or 9, half of them were donnarumas…. Then when they make a mistake with an sbc, they remove it, how is that fair, when the sbc sais expiring in 3 days for example? Just because they messed up and made it a 50% for toty by mistake, its not the players fault, and as it is a game they should just leave the sbc there, as it would be fair as it stated expiring in 3 days. But obv they wouldn’t sell packs if everyone got a toty in a pick, so it proves, its ONLY about money but in this case how do they hire people, that are that bad and make sooo many mistakes and clearly never played the game. And has anyone figured out why tf there is this moments mode….its terrible, not rewarding and just awfully slow to get anything done especially on ps4, that even got a different version than ps5, as ps4 is slower, but the ps4 version is also working slow on ps4, so wtf to give perspective, going from one formation to another, not any other, but just one Formation further takes like 2 seconds…..And this stuff isn’t even close to the amount of things going wrong… WE SHOULD REALLY DO SOMETHING LIKE A CROWDFUNDING, INSTEAD OF BUYING FIFA POINTS, THAT ANOTHER DEVELOPER CAN GET THE LICENSES ETC AND MAKE A PROPER GAME…
Just play other games until EA says something convincing for all of us who are sick of their bullshit.
in the email, What the guy said about the bad gameplay may actually make sense. if the player data is linked through a cached token system, then that would explain why inputs get worse and worse throughout the week, as more data is added to the cache, it causes more delay, hence why champs is usually horrible in terms of delay. of course this issue would be fixed if the cache was simply set up to reset every time the player logs off, but you know, it's ea, decisions that make sense are rare.
So can it be refreshed by us ?
