Cobalt SS Seized Oxygen Sensor Removal After Kicking Out a P0054

  • I will show how to remove a seized oxygen sensor from a Cobalt SS supercharged.
    P0054 is the ODB code for heating element not responding in the downstream heated o2 sensor. I ran into a couple of problems that may help someone with the same issues. It's all about the technique of getting frozen fasteners unfrozen with minimum damage or worse breakage.

    Had the exact thing happen trying to remove my sensor on my '04 Ion Red Line.

    IN THE VIDEO WHEN YOU SAID YOUR NOT SURE WHERE THAT CONNECTION GOES YOU CAN SEE A HOLE IN THE METAL PLATE BELOW YOUR HAND AND THE PLASTIC PEG ON THE CONNECTOR SNAPS INTO THSAT HOLE TPO PREVENT IT FROM BOUNCING AROUND

    Blood pressure went up watching.. all wrong.. what the..... messed up big time.. a 90° on the sensor.. that's NOT going to read well.... and gas line.. not safe either..
